okay, no more whining about our bad luck on the offensive line.

this is what Jax has had to put up with this year so far

starting center Brad Meester injured in preseason and out 4 weeks

Richard Collier tragically shot before the season

then inthe first game they lose starters Vince Manuwai for the season with an ACL and Maurice Williams for at least 2 months with a ruptured biceps

before this, they were a serious superbowl contender. after this ? they lost their opener to tennessee and could free fall.. let's see how David Garrard progresses with that kind of line in front of him

if they even make the playoffs, their front office and coaching staff should be given some kind of award

Garrard has been behind a bad O-line before and he can move, but the way folks are talking on the Jags board, the O-line was in shambles all day. Going up against Haynesworth doesn't help.

They're in trouble.

Sucks for them but this is a Redskins site so i'm sure the complaining will continue no matter what other situations are like......btw our line is much too old

You know your season's in trouble when you start trying to feel better by sharing how screwed up other franchises are.

How 'bout those Rams, huh?

thats tought luck. and yes thats alot like us. we lost jansen, then had a full year from him, then lost him again. Went to the playoffs twice without Randy thomas.

while this is terrible luck for the Jags, the only way it will match us is if it happens to them again next year or the year after. thats what happened to us. one unlucky year is something, but this streak is something to behold

i still believe to some extent it is age related.. but you have a young (DL) like buzbee who tears his achilles-- same as jansen.. so is it age or just bad luck ?

I watched this game Sunday, and the thing that stood out to me more was that Jacksonville's inability to stop the Titans in the 4th quarter on defense looked awfully familiar....can't quite put my finger on it

on the other hand, compared to Al Saunders offense in st louis, it was mind boggling..

Garrard may be able to avoid the rush, but he's never been the focal point of the offense; it's always been the running game. Like you said, the Jags are in trouble.

Did anybody else notice that both Al Saunders and Greg Williams (edit: well, obviously, you guys were just mentioned it) did horribly in their respective season openers? Hah!

Really...pooor performace by the lambs. I think we could have looked better this season on O had we kept Saunders and allowed JC another year in his system. The D looked solid under Gdub quite a bit but other times not so much. Blache made some nice adjustments inb the 2nd half something Gdubs ego rarely allowe for. As for Zorn I;m hopefull he can give JC a full year and the follwing offseason before making a decision on his long term future. I also think we're likely to struggle early and rebound by years end finishing somewhere near a .500 ballclub.

i think we would have had a major problem this year with saunders and gibbs parting over differences.. you could not have scripted things better for AS who was just itching to show that collins was a better fit for his offense. he was never more than minimally happy with JC as the qb running his offense and had to feel vindicated when collins rescued the season operating his offense to near perfection during the final 4 1/2 games of the season.. it would have been very awkward for everyone and i wonder if this played a little bit into gibbs leaving
