View Full Version : Notes About Yesterday's Game

I've noticed a few things here that I am curious about. Firstly, people say that if Hall could have just hit one of those field goals it would have been a different game. You could say the same thing about Bryant for the Giants, but that isn't my point anyway.
I am curious as to why no one seems to be angry at Trotter for his personal foul with like 2 minutes left in the first half. We stopped them and the Giants had like a 4th and 8. Instead of getting the ball back with a chance to score, the Giants got and 1st down with ended up turning into 7 more points.
Also, people seem to be happy about the 2 point conversion we got. It was a great play, but I wish the Giants stopped us. That way, instead of going for the field goal with 13 seconds left, we would have had to go for a TD, and we were moving down the field well.
Any thoughts?

I am pissed about Trotter's personal foul. I guess his inner-drive got the best of him. He should have known better, since a regular tackle would have stopped him far from the 1st down marker.
I think it was important for us to get the 2-pt conversion. W/out it, who knows if we would have been able to score a TD to win.
BTW - I know a lot of people are down on DMC for that penalty, but we should also remember that he had 4 very nicely catches as well. One for a TD to start our comeback, one for a 2pt conversion to get us w/in a field goal to tie, and the other two for first downs. (including a 34 yard catch)

I agree about the last drive in regulation. We were moving the ball great and then seemed to get real conservative after McCants catch. Why not try to win in regulation and take a shot at the endzone?

Any thoughts? Not with you on the two-point conversion. That play allowed us to send the game into overtime, which at least gave us a chance to win the game.
As for Trotter, I'm the one who nominated him for the "thumbs down" award on the front page of this website.

I am pissed abotu Trotters personal foul. I am pissed abotu McCant's taunting, es[pecially when Gardner was called on it last week. How many friggin taunting penalties do we need to accrue before learnign and deciding to just go OUT and do YOUR JOB! As dumb of a penalty as it is, it is a rule and IMO, not a real hard one to grasp or follow.
I am pissed at the way Samuels has played. The false starts and off sides just real;ly get old after awhile.

Why is that the BEST receiver on the Skins (Coles) gets no taunting calls and the the 2nd and 3rd do??!!!
Gardener and DMC need to follow leader (Coles) and grow up!

Trotter and Bruce Smith getting penalties is much worse then McCnats IMO. None are ok... but those seasoned vets should know better... quick talking so much and make something happen!

That Trotter penalty had me livid, don't worry. In fact, most of the penalties did.

Hey, what was the deal with the two penalties from 3&29?? Fox didn't show EITHER ONE?? I couldn't believe it?? I'd be the first to cut Trotter & Arrington's balls off IF they deserve it. But I got to see it to believe it. But what kind of crap broadcasting was that!
