just saw an article at www.theredzone.org that said that Saints starting DT Hollis Thomas has been put on IR with a torn triceps... he was a mainstay on their defensive line and very strong against the run. not a big pass rusher but definitely a 2-gap player
we should be able to run up the middle better now. perhaps we see a little more of betts because of that ??
also, reserve TE Billy Miller was also released by the Saints yesterday.. he always seemed to be able to get loose, but with Shockey on the roster , his touches definitely dropped off.
