I don't think I have ever seen a fan base with their head in the clouds so much as you guys. First, you go out and try to buy a championship by raiding the Jets and mortgage your future in the process, then you beat two scrub teams like the Jets and Atlanta and now your world beaters? If you cant beat the Giants at home with their troubles on O-line then you just aint gonna beat em period. Their line will gel as the year goes on. Now you have what New England, Philly Tampa and Buffalo next? Can you say and 0-4 or 1-3 (if Philly still hasnt gotten it together) run over the next 4 games? Its gonna be fun to see Ramsey go against the Bucs. Can you say about 4 INTs? Hell the only really soft game you have on your schedule is Chicago. The Panthers D and special teams is the real deal and Dallas will be competitive. You aren't even gonna sniff the playoffs.

Hi, tampaviany. Thanks for dropping by.
I'm curious as to why you think the Redskins "mortgaged their future" by acting in the free agent market as they did in the 2003 offseason. Please refrain from generalities, but provide me with specific numbers about future cap levels and Redskins salary committments. If you cannot provide me with these specific details, I'll assume you do not know what you are talking about and dismiss anything else you have to say. Thank you.
In addition, could you please provide examples of how the Redskins fan base has its head in the clouds? Obviously, I can only comment on what I see here and that is mostly pretty objective--at least by the standards of most fan websites I've seen.
The Redskins certainly do have a tough road ahead, which is one reason the loss yesterday stings so much. Hopefully, our guys will be able to steal a win or two here and there.

Well, I guess it's time for me to get over all of the feel good thoughts from the Tailgate and get back to work weeding out the rift raft.
Whoever you are, first of all try introducing yourself first. Secondly, I don't know what fansite you have been reading, but here we have offered nothing but fair and accurate assesments of OUR team. No one here has uttered Super Bowl, so try again with your attempt at a putdown of our members. If you disagree with them, that is your option, but I follow that by saying tough.
As far as who have we beaten, I for one will say two teams that despite their starting QB's being down, they were both playoff participants last year. Neither of those teams were 16-0, so although the QB's were MIA, the rest of the TEAM wasn't. Well, maybe the Jets were missing 4 players but that's beside the point. It takes more then 1 player to define a team, but I'm sure you knew that, right?
Now, if your purpose for registering is talk football, then welcome to hR. If your sole purpose in coming here was to be a troll, trust me when I tell you that your stay will be short and sweet.

Tampa has not looked that impressive at all this year.

tampa-blah,
It seems to me as if both the Redskins and Tampa are 2-1 so I'm not sure what your claim to fame is, besides defending champs. But this is a different year and the fact you beat Philly doesn't look impressive and the Redskins have already beaten the Falcons so I'd say both teams look about the same.
What's fun is that both team play this year so we can see what happens, but this week is New England. We'll take care of Tampa in due time.

They smacked the Eagles around which was beautifull. But then they lost to the Panthers at home and beat a team we beat. I don't see the Bucs repeating this year.

Hey Spence,
Get off your high horse you sound like a pompous ass. I was referring to givng up a high number one and overpaying for Coles. I want to see just how much of a number one receiver he is when you start playing some good D's. Looking at your schedule I only realistically see 4-5 more wins for the Skins. And that is counting Dallas twice. You might catch a break with all NE injuries but even then Im sure Bellichek will outcoach the all ball coach standing on his head. And its no secret your owner is conceived as a Buffoon around the league. I hope he enjoys his 7-9 season will all that free agent money spent.

Who sounds like the pompous ass here?
Strike One and Two. I throw a mean slider for Strike Three. The choice is yours.

First Question: You're a Jets fan, Aren't you? I ask this because you sound like the Jets fans. "You stole our players Wah Wah Wah" Well I'll tell you first of all, we did nothing wrong. NOTHING at all. Everything we did was by the book. As for mortgaging the future. I am tired of hearing that. We hear it every year, but amazingly we are never really in Cap Trouble.
Second Thing: We are going to be 0-4 or 1-3 in the next 4? Well thats interesting. Cause the Patsies aren't playing that great right now. And we get them in Fed-Ex. The Bucs looked good against the Eagles, but so did the patsies and they again aren't playing that great. So we get both of them in our house. We win one of those two. How? Our defense is good, and can shut down Brady and Johnson, no not with the rush, but with the secondary. Then we have the Iggles and The Billies. We can beat the Eagles at their house. Probably not the Bills, YET. However it can be done. So I easily see at LEAST 2-2 or 3-1. 2 &2 would makes us 4-3 for the bye. Good shape for the rest of the season. So please talk like you know what you are talking about, don't just blurt out random s**t.
As for the rest, I think it's been covered...well

You should consult the Private Messages I have sent you regarding proper behavior at this website. There will be no discrimination here; we expect you to follow the same guidelines for courtesy we expect of our longest-standing members.
Tampaviany, you have not even gotten a taste of just how pompous I can be. [Ask anyone here.] However, in this case, you seem to be regarding pomposity as a synonym for requesting specifics. You made specific assertions without substantive evidence to support those assertions. When I requested specific details, you responded with yet more unsubstantiated assertions.
For example, you write that the Redskins overpaid for Laveranues Coles. How so? Just that he earns a lot of money? Is that it? Is that all you've got? You also assert that the Redskins gave up a high draft pick for Coles. Actually, we gave up the 13th pick in the draft for the man who is now the leading receiver in the NFL. That's a trade any general manager in the NFL would make. Whether or not Coles maintains his superior pace against teams like Tampa Bay or New England is an open matter. I don't know the answer and neither do you. Your speculation on the subject is uninformed and, as such, useless.
You see, Tampaviany, what we demand at this site is evidence to support assertions. We expect it of each other and we expect it of newcomers. Insults and vague assertions may be all the rage at the chimpanzee-like websites you normally frequent, but they will not do here. They will not do at all.
And you [I]still have not seen me being pompous. You're getting closer, though.

Ahem! Coles caught 7 balls for 105 yesterday. Are you saying the Giants defense isn't good?

The Giants D is no where close to the Bucs no. The two best D's right now belong in the NFC South. That would be the Bucs and the Panthers. The Bucs are a little dinged no with the loss of Joe J. but should weather the storm. And watch out for the Panthers..its them and not the one man gang in Atlanta that will be the future of the NFC in short order.
And modertator if you get off on some power trip because your a moderator well..I cant help if you are trying to overcome so shortcoming in your life by being a Napolean on here. Go ahead and Ding me if you wish ..still aint gonna change the 0-4 -or 1-3 run coming up.

Tampa brag if you beat the skins, Tampa is no better that any team in this league. They have a good defense but there offence is horrible and now your team is going to lose that pittman guy for a while b/c he did some substance or somthing so just shut your a mouth and go to to a tampa bucs site. IDIOT! Just to cause trouble you have to come in here! And I think think ramsey will have a great game against the bucs! pathers qb threw for 95 yard and they still won the game against you! SAD MAN! GO SKINS!!!!!!!!

Yes its too bad for your team that the Panthers have a D 500% better than yours. And I predict 95 yards is about what Ramsey will throw for on the Bucs but the Bucs will put up about 27 pts on you.

Tampaviany, please explain to us why we should be interested in the predictions of an anonymous and insulting visitor with poor grammar. Do you have some widely-recognized reputation for genius or insight into football? Or are you just some dope we should ignore?

I don't know what "modertator" you are reffering to you simple minded jerk, but this admin/owner would enjoy nothing more then to rid the world of your sorry ass. The shortcomings are obviously coming from your end, since it was you who decided to come here and bother us, you idiot. So to you I say bye-bye and wish you well as you correct whatever it is that is wrong with your life. Try reaching out and finding your family's roots. I live in Orlando and have many, many friends who are die hard Bucs fans and they are nothing like this varmet. They know they have one 1 Superbowl and HOPE to make another run this year before their window of opportunites closes.
I'm glad I don't know any Bucs fans like this Jacka$$.
I have also been to many Bucs games, including when they were not so good (which wasn' that long ago) and the fans that go to games are notheing like this rat.
This is the kaind of fan who probably didn't know Tampa had an NFL team before 2002.

This fan reflected the various short comings one can find at 95% of other NFL fan sites... not a site for the average fan to go and find information about the team they love, but instead a site where small-minded insecure people go and trash others teams and opinions....
Not my idea of fun... good riddance.
