What is up with the tackling? It seemed to me that the Skins tried to strip the ball way too much yesterday instead of just making the tackle. Champ didn't tackle worth a damn yesterday. Lavar missed a few. Trotter missed a few. Were they trying to force too many fumbles?

Where is the pass rush or even a blitz? We have to start getting at the QB more.

This is just my honest opinion-THE PASS RUSH AND TACKLING SUCK!!!!!!!!!! Kerry Collins could've knitted a sweater in the backfield yesterday. I couldn't believe iffy totally whiffied on a tackle on shockey. Lucky to get his hands on him. Things need to change and fast, or it's all down hill from here.

I saw Lavar and the other linebackers trying to strip the ball away instead of focusing on tackling. My guess [and that's all it is] is that the coaches told them to do it. I think I understand why. The Skins don't pressure the quarterback. Teams that don't pressure the quarterback don't create turnovers. [Zero turnovers from the Jets and zero turnovers from the Giants.] You get turnovers mostly from interceptions and sacking the quarterback, causing a fumble. Most interceptions come about from a quarterback throwing the ball when he does not want to because of pressure from the pass rush. I suspect that in a desperate attempt to create turnovers, the coaches told the linebackers to start trying to strip the ball away. I also suspect we have not seen the last of this.

What's really weird is when they did knock the ball loose they weren't in position to recover it. Go figure.

I think it cost us 2 TD's yesterday. Maybe the Giants would have still scored, but not on those 2 plays. (two of Bailey's missed tackles one on the long pass play for a TD and one on the short pass play for a TD).

I believe Champ had a good opportunity for an INT yesterday but never turned around to look for the ball. He had better position than the receiver on the play. The ball was thrown short and to the inside of the receiver and Champ was on the inside.
I'm with Spence, it looked as though they were told to strip the ball.
