I think we will all agree that this guy is one sick ****. That being said, does he deserve jail time? I would love to hear Spence's view of this.

He is sick... but America is Free... a very touchy case... what crime did he break? If I write a story about robbing a bank do I go to jail as a bank robber? If that is the case then might as well put Stephen King in jail for murder.

He isn't Tolkien but he didn't break a law. I wouldda been interested what he would have thought about the relationship between Orcs and Hobbits though... :wacky:

Yes, this man is sick............but what crime did he commit? There is this thing called "free speech" in this country, isn't their?

If this man goes to jail for this, then soon we will all be going to jail for anything we write, including on the internet.

This brings up a good argument though....how far can we push free speech? I know there is alot of unknown factors here. Like, did he try and sell this story to pedophiles (sp) for money? How was this discovered in the first place? One thing is for certian. This man should never be able to carry a job that involves children. That we can all agree on.

If freedom of Speech can including burning a flag (which is not a definition of "speech") then I'm sure this can continue to happen with no problems.
