just in from JLC. dont know if he "over slept" simply getting treatment for something they didn't announce or what.
All we say from here to when Zorn talks about it is purely speculation, and i thought it might be fun to speculate before we get an answer. see what people think/come up with

According to ESPN980, its not injury-related. he is out with an excused absence.

Since that is taken care of. How about he has been imo the most disappointing Redskin this year. After taking 10 steps forward last year.

I don't think he's been disappointing, but he has suffered from the change of guard on defense. If I'm not mistaken Williams didn't use Golston at the nose all that much because his defense didn't emphasize NT's rushing passer. He's still in there a lot, just less then last year which I still think is a mistake. This week we will need to stop the run with 5-7 players in the box on a consistent basis and we need Monty in there for that.

I worried about Monty. He's obviously in Blache's dog house and has been getting pwed when he has been playing this season . i was hoping this would be a breakout year for him and that he would be working to be the replacement for Griffin. In a contract year you'd think he would be cranking it up to the maximum level.
We need him now especially with Taylor our for this game and perhaps for a few more. i hope he can reverse this trend and show us his best effort.....
