CBS Sportsline's own Clark Judge is now a Redskins fan. It seems as we are now ranked as his 4th best team in the NFL. I like the fact that we are getting respect, but I would much rather be under the radar. What say ye about all the bandwagon jumpers???

part of any sports teams fans base. the sorry thing about the cowboys is that Bandwagons make up the MAJORITY of it.

unlike the skins, where the vast overwhelming majority are not bandwagon. i mean we have been bad to decent for awhile. still filling the staidum, buying crap, loving the team, arriving at HOF ceremony, etc.

beautiful thing to be skins fan. a thing to be proud of. if you bandwagon you never get that sense of pride, cause you never hang with the team when its rough

Interesting to see we're behind Buffalo. I actually think they'll be a sleeper team this year, along with the Panthers and Titans, but I think we should switch spots on that list. Titans are very underrated by almost everybody.. good to see he's giving them their dues. I think we can beat them as well, but I won't disagree with them being at the 2 spot. Their D's sick.

So I'm clear, despite a new, first-time HC and an unproven QB all national football analysts were supposed to pick the Skins as one of the 4 or 5 best teams in the league before the season and after an ugly Week 1 loss at New York. If they didn't do that, they are morons who are now "fans" of the team. That about right?

Has anybody heard of a team improving? Is it not possible the the Skins are one of the best four or five teams in the league now (not that I'm sure of that yet) but weren't one of the four or five best teams three weeks ago? Is it possible that the team, oh, I don't know, has gotten better each week?

But no, you're probably right. The Skins were obviously the best team in the league after the Giants game and these loser "experts" (probably Cowboy fans) just didn't see what we all knew the whole time.

Meh, you know really. Whatever gets the crowd louder at the games, I'm all for it. I just hate squid fans that make noise when they're not supposed to (ala Skins fans that bang and scream when the offense is lining up)

LOL! Now there you go using some logic. You know better than to do that. ;)

And this 'the majority of their fans are bandwagon fans' is such a stupid claim. Sorry but every team has loads of bandwagon fans and even attempting to make such a claim that 'the majority' of any teams fans are is ignorant. No one here, and no Cowboy fan who makes this stupid claim about Skins fans, personally knows more than .5 percent of the entire fanbase so they're simply not educated enough to even make such a claim.

Sometimes I swear the fans of sports teams are just plain silly.

Wow, so, uhm, I don't know... If someone were to be reading an article about the redskins and then wanted to share it with his fellow redskins fans at a forum he has been a member on for years now, then uhm.... Well, uhm, I don't know, I don't see why you have to get your panties in a bunch. How about that???

BTW, we do not deserve to be called one of the top 4 teams in the NFL.

I don't agree with that at all. Why wouldnt you be? You're 3-1 (meaning only the Bills, Giants, and Titans have better records, by not being defeated yet) and you just beat one of the front runners in the NFC, in their house, pretty much dominating them.

Why wouldn't the Skins be in the top 4-5 teams? I'd say there in the discussion with the Giants and the Titans for the best team in the NFL through 4 games.

Because we haven't been consistently hot for a long time now. The times we made the playoffs, were from clutch late season efforts - not dominating the teams we played. We are starting hot - and I'm MUCHO happy right now. But I'd rather we go out and play every game like were a team trying to prove itself - and not have the media fill us with the same hot air they've been pouring on the Cowboys/Jets/Giants/Eagles, ect.

Its strange, I complain when I read articles that disrepect the team, or trivialize thier accomplishements - but I get equally mad when I read "since sliced bread" articles too. SAY JC, Moss, Zorn, dect had great games, SAY we dominated the Boys - I love reading that. But stop there.

I never said I wasn't weird - but weird people have opinions too!:p

That is the biggest thing as well IMO. Keep executing the gameplan and working hard in practice. Oh, and hope Westbrook doesn't play this week again.

While I'm having a good laugh at all the media coverage now that we beat the cowgirls, it's also rekindled some angry thoughts from earlier this season.

When did we become the 4th best team in the NFC East? Last I checked we made the playoffs last year and the eagles did not.

Prior to the season we magically dropped from around the 12-14th team (making playoffs) to around 21-25 on most "power rankings"

We stuck around the mid 20's after losing to the NY Giants in week 1. Granted we didnt look good in Week 1. But it was the reigning superbowl champs we lost too, and the score was 16-7 for hecks sake, not at all a blowout.

We get next to no respect for beating 2 media darlings in NO and ARI. And finally now they give us some props.

Did they somehow miss the memo of last year where we had better records then all but 5 NFC teams last year?

There has to be a better reason why the media somehow hates the redskins or views us as a joke every preseason.

This is ten thousand times more important than any media attention. A focused team is far more vital to our playoff chances than Clark Judge's asskissing.

Did you catch any of the Carolina game? Or the first half of the Giants game? Sure, there are biased pundits out there, but there's no conspiracy against the Skins - at least not this season.

Winning close games at home against two of the league's worst franchises isn't going to do anything for anybody. The Skins deserve to be taken seriously after winning at Dallas and that is what's happening.

I've never been a big believer in the preseason meaning much. Yes the carolina game was ugly, but it's preseason....detroit went 4-0 in the preseason to give you an idea of how I view that.

Again the first half, heck the whole game against the Giants was ugly, but it was against the superbowl champs, the team that should have been 1st on every power ranking untill they get beat.

I agree with you that ARI and NO are two of the leagues worst franchises, there is no debating that, but my point is that these two teams we're deemed "contenders" in the NFC by most of the media and for what? They havent done anything, and yet before Washington had played a game they pegged us as chumps?

No conspiracy? Maybe you're right, but if that's the case then most of the media are blind or dumb.

If I had to guess, having a new head coach nobody had heard of and a starting QB even fans weren't certain of probably played a role in that.

We ran to to playoffs last year with a different guy under center and then our Hall of Fame of coached retired. Is that the recipe for predicting big things for a team in the same division as loaded Dallas and the defending Super Bowl champs?

So am I. I just don't understand folks who think we deserved to be talked about as contenders before beating Dallas.

You haven't realized this yet?:)

Aside from that though, media is a business and to make money they have to entertain. If that means neglecting some of the truth, or picking up unpopular opinions, so be it. What they need is a story, or something intriguing to talk about. N.O. is wounded city still recovering from the rubble. AZ has a lot of sun.

If we were in another division we'd probably be ranked higher, but because NY won the bowl, Cowpukes are high powered, and the Eagles have a history of owning the NFC East in the past decade, the Skins aren't the big story for them. Not that they couldn't have a lot to write about with a guy who's in his first year as an HC, a QB who's had to learn a new system just about every year since HS, or what could've been with area 51, etc, but whatev... That just gives someone the chance to stand up and write something meaningful.

Very good points too. In all the effects of Zorn, I forgot about that, and that's definitely good reason for the media not to rank us high. That and we looked like crap the last 2 preseason games, and didn't show up well against the Gnats. Doesn't bother me one bit.

I'll crack open a can 'o playoff kool-aid if 3-1 becomes 6-2 or 7-1. Until then I'm just going to hope this team keeps getting better and stays healthy.

Because New Orleans plays in a fairly weak division and Arizona plays in probably the weakest division.
