Tank Johnson wants to set the record straight. If you think that the Redskins played better in the trenches than the Cowboys, well think again.

"That's definitely not the case. It was more us than them."

And of course, Wade Phillips backs him up.

This is why these guys will never actually win the Super Bowl with their current cast of characters. Even when they get smacked around, they're in complete denial. They're still "the better team." When they lose, it's never an actual sign of any weakness on their part. They don't need to change a thing.

I feel like after the game, Wade's postgame speech in the locker room probably found room to fit in, "It's okay, guys. We went 13-3 last year!"

Maybe it was taken out of context....... maybe he meant it was more their defense ...... because OUR defense barely sniffed the field.......

So glad the article made reference to that final swag-a-licious drive full of runs - in particular, where we turned their lineman completely around and drilled them in their backs downfield, a la Terrence Newman from the 2005 game at Fed Ex.

I noticed that too on the replay and went nuts. Destroyed those dudes.

This truly is a blissful week, aint it? Redskins poppin, Cowgirls whining.

It's really great that we beat them up without Jason Taylor. I can't wait until the next game, when we have him back. Romo's going to be eating turf.

Again more evidence that Tank needs to just shut up and worry about fixing the glaring problems that this defense had in stopping anything on Sunday.

I actually agree with the person above who said this is why he thinks we'll never win a Superbowl with these guys. Well, let me phrase that, it's not that I don't think we can but it's this type of attitude that does indeed worry me that it might keep us from doing it.

Exactly. Jeruh has built himself a team that will rack up big plays, but has no heart and folds like a lawn chair at the first sign of trouble.

Yeah the guys I work with (usually goofing off all day) are actijng like they are "too busy" to really get in to talking about the game today. They'd have chairs at my desk to sit ALL DAY with me if they had won. I love it. I make sure I have my Skins coffee cup in my hand every time I walk in to their office.......... even if its empty.

I was the lone Redskins fan at a bar full of Cowgirls on Sunday and it was bliss. They were whining all game long...which only makes me cheer louder :) It was a great day and this is going to be a good week.

No doubt! These guys are usually more......... spirited....... I really think this one got to them.

One of the guys (younger kid) was telling me to "llok at their schedule" --- becasue there was "no way" they don't go undefeated this year................. He has much to learn of our great division.

Every time I see him now I ask him to sit down with me so we can discuss scenarios that can help them "get back" to undefeated by the end of the season.

(I try to make sure I have an article discussing the game up on my monitor if I call him over)

Its all in fun, and I get it back in spades so........ I LOVE FOOTBALL SEASON!!!

Braveheart is a Boys fan...it took me a bit to remember that, too. if you read it knowing that, then it makes sense.

The coach is a big part of the problem too. If I recall correctly, he had some ridiculous statements and excuses after the playoff loss last year. He knows he's a step away from being kicked off the train, so he'll do and say anything to deflect criticism. It rubs off on the players.

I have no earthly idea why anyone would think Wade Phillips is a good headcoach. It hardly surprises me that his team lives in the delusion that we weren't beat we lost mindset.

There are games for sure in which a team totally beats themselves. This game was not one of them. we beat them down physically. That should worry them.

The Cowboys seem able and dangerous when they can make big plays and don;t have the physical challenge brought to them.

they unravel at the slightest sign or pressure, or when real toughness is required.

thats when character reveals itself and when their characters fail to step up.

I can honestly say since we've gotten Portis and Moss and this cast, when times get tough they hang pretty tough together.

that's what comes from listening to espn and all those other azzclown pundits.. you start to believe you are better than you really are and leave your game in the toilet

a couple of more early season losses and jerry jones is going to show the world exactly what he thinks of phillips. let them fall dangerously behind in the nfc east and i would not be surprised for a moment to see phillips replaced by garrett in mid season

Go polish your gun collection, Tank.
