Jim Thomas, of the St.Louis Post-Dispatch, reports the Washington Redskins are showing interest in free-agent CB Fakhir Brown (Rams).

Methinks we should be expressing interest in free agent LBs, not CBs. Perhaps Springs calf is worse than expected since I've been impressed with our top 4 CBs so far.

He wouldn't be getting a lot of reps, obviously. I've been very impressed with most everything our starters have done.

But, he'd be cheap and couldn't be worse than Tryon looked in the preseason.

I don't reckon I could be any less indifferent on this one.

but we are catching them at a bad time.. they have a bye and then we play them. i expect that haslett will have them playing hard. they still have weapons, especially on offense.

what we need to do is get on top of them early and remind them they are the same BAD team. they will fold in the second half. but the longer we let them hang around, the more dangerous they will become

i think he played for the rams earlier in the year and was a starter. that aint saying much since the rams blow, especially there secondary, but at least he was a starter there.

he should never be on the field unless one of our top 4 corners is hurt and the offense line up in 4 wide sets.

Maybe smoot can't play this week cause of concussion? maybe springs calf is more then a strain?


hey, no reason not to give a look at the guy. maybe he come mad cheap and will be a asset.

I like it. Despite what a lot of people think around here we absolutely need to have more depth at cb! Both rogers AND springs are injury prone, and at any given point we will need smoot and torrence to step up. I do like torrence, and smoot plays hard, but at the moment both of them have shortcomings and can't handle a starting type role. Brown was a starter for the rams and the saints I believe, and would make our secondary still formidable if someone were to go down.

I'm not looking past Philly, but this concerns me as well. A game we should absolutely win and I can see them coming out fired up and pulling the upset.

we should grab him and send tryon to the practice squad. he would be a heck of a 5th corner. also we better respect the rams with a new coach and a oc who im sure wants revenge and has weapons
