Ignorance and the inabality to control one's emotions.

3rd and 29, ...you jump offsides.....WHY? Just plain ignorance, no two ways about it, just plain ignorance. ( Lavar...don't get me wrong, I really like Lavar and I'm glad we have him, but seriously...what was he thinking?...or was he? )

And then that play is over and you get called for Unsportmanlike Conduct!....Ignorance. ( Jeremiah Trotter ) No excuse.

McCants...taunting penalty. Why? No excuse. None. You are paid to catch passes. That is your job. Catch the ball, throw it to the Ref, and go back to the huddle. The mailman does not do a dance everytime he drops mail in someones box. You want to get paid and respected like a pro...act like one. )

Hard not to agree - bush league.

BACK-TO-BACK PENALTIES FROM 3&29?? Good god, at 3&29 you could put in a prevent defense for the first down marker! (nuetral zone infraction? is stupid enough, but how anyone could even ALLOW themselves to be provoked on 3&29/24 is beyond even the writers of "Playmakers")

Taunting? They did it last week too.

If it will help, I'll volunteer to jaber jaw at the Redskins practices this week so they can practice NOT being provoked.

I would add also the 1&10 @ the 20 at the end of regulation that ended with another penalty & settling for the field goal. But the taunting & unsportsmanlike take the cake because they are 100% within our control.

The three that really killed us:
TAUNTING: No excuse, Let your playing do the talking for you!
HOLDING: Sometimes it can't be avoided otherwise your QB will get killed.
UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS: Self contol, don't like it BUT can see how it happens.

The thing that makes me more and more angry is McCants was nailed a few times last season for taunting. We watched Gardner get nabbed last week. When does the learning process begin? Of course lets not forget to add on the literal plague that has beseiged DC for 8 years, Off Sides and False Starts. This team just simply seems to accrue these penatlies more than others i watch. Dsicipline, coaching, whatever it is, at some oint somethign has to give. These penalties are stifling drives and keeping alive opposition drives.

Not condoning it, but we don't know what it's like to be on the field with your adreneline flowing.

Coles has gotten racked a couple games now and never said a thing. So I think the small-timers like McCants & Gardner need to take a lesson.

On Trotter. That better be a once-a-season type of mistake. I've been a believer & supporter of Trotter. But if he had three penalties that bad, in the season - I'd wash my hands clean of him like Pontious Pilot.

Its called professionalism. This team gets hit with bonehead penalties often. I can watch other games and not see any. Its about playing smart football and that is exactly why i agreed with Riggins when he said....right now the Redskins are just playing "dumb". Dumb mistakes that should not happen.
