Jason Campbell is still the only starting QB in the NFL without an interception this season and the Redskins have gone an NFL-record 332 pass attempts without a pick going back to last year. ...

Going back to last year?
That couldn't have been that many attempts, right? Because Collins threw two picks near the end of the Seattle game.

Great stat. Thanks for posting it. Seems that Jason is now slowing the game down in his mind. As Coach Pat Dye said, "Good QBs don't think in seconds, they think in fractions of a second." And as Coach Z said, "Take the sack. I got another play ready to go..."

That has to be Regular Season

Yeah I thought that right after I posted
Well that's kinda cheap, since our QB did throw picks against Seattle
Hopefully we can break the record (for real) in the next few weeks

This is a good omen for our future. A young QB and a young coach who enjoy working together. He did get lucky today though because one pass should have been picked off.

a lot of it is luck.. the tips have fallen safely.. today, he nearly hit a lb in the chest on the pass to cooley..
he is playing very well, but some of it is just luck.. the same way that portis' fumble was about 2 inches from going safely out of bounds...

Nice. That's cool that they aren't counting the picks Collins threw in Seattle last year. I guess nobody cares about the playoffs......

Lmao yeah
That's why it will be a couple more weeks of no interceptions if we want to REALLY hold the record. :)

It's wonderful...now let's ignore it. I don't want JC going into games thinking "Jeez I better be careful and not throw any picks". A good NFL quarterback is gonna take chances from time to time, try to jam balls in to tight windows. I worry this could make our QB a little gunshy. Coach Z said as much in the post game.

The way I read it, it's Campbells record - not Collins. So his stats wouldn't matter.

playoffs never count in nfl record stats (unless they're playoff-specific records). that includes streaks. it wouldn't be fair for a guy to be able to have a longer streak of something just because his team played more games.
There is certainly an element of luck to this, but to Campbell's credit he isn't sailing many passes high and his accuracy has increased an enormous amount. He hit two pinpoint crossing patterns yesterday perfectly and he's gotten much better at putting a lot the out's and comebacks down and to the proper side where it's either a catch or incomplete with little chance for an int.

Yes, he has been luckier than in the past.
Remember all the tipped balls last year? The most costly one being what SHOULD have been called a Randle El catch against the Giants (it was a simultaneous catch, thereby the offence should retain possession).

Nope. It has to be a team record, because, as far as I can tell, Bernie Kosar still has the record for passes without an INT.

I hate when they exclude games( like the playoffs). It cheapens the record. Kinda like saying im the fastest guy in my neighborhood.......If i take out the family of sprinters that live next door.

dude that's the way pretty much ALL NFL records work, unless they're playoff-specific records. career rushing/receiving/passing stats/records NEVER include playoffs.

Never said they all didn't work that way. I think all games played should be included (except the Pro Bowl).
