My old high school, Highland, playing cross town rival Pocatello. Highland's quarterback has owned Poky, so Poky's coach ordered his guys to take some cheap shots during kickoffs (the QB also kicks).

Watch the kicker. The hit is a clear violation of High School rules, but wasn't flagged during the game, and is pretty much a cheap shot designed to knock the starting QB out of the game.

It takes a real tough guy to level a defensless kicker... That is why teams need someone like me who has no problem (or at least didn't when I was a younger guy) going "Kyle Turley" on someone. I literally would have tried to break his knee... Easily one of the most cowardly acts I have seen in awhile unless it was retaliation for something the K did. Are you sure you are giving the whole story here??? :D

The kicker is also the starting QB, and he's owned Poky. The Poky coach is just an **expletive** who is now suspended while the school district conducts an investigation, as Poky attempted the same thing on every Highland kickoff.
There haven't been any cases of running up the score, and a QB generally doesn't get many chances to take cheap shots at the other team.

Way to mold and craft young minds by teaching "sportsmanship", huh?
Hopefully they ban the guy from ever coaching HS football again.

The best part is that Highland tried leaving a member of their coverage team by the kicker to try to stop him from getting creamed, and they got flagged for an illegal block!
Highland finally retaliated in the 2nd half and sent someone at the Poky kicker, however, which is just as wrong.

Things like this are unfortunate, and done by small men. I coached against a guy (who I went to college with) and told his team to attack the knee of our best player once he saw he had a slight limp. The thing was...it was a freshman game.

Video is no longer available. It must have been against the copyright laws of the Department of Education, lol.

it's back.
I was prepared to come in here and say "that's football" and make some snarky remark about a dress. That was, until I saw that video. Yeah, that's ridiculous. Nobody needs to need to win so bad as to project their moral ambiguity through a kid like that. And if they do, they might need a humanity check.

It was a cheap chicken move that was solely designed to try to injure the QB of the other team.
The best part is that even though the coach admitted in the paper that they were trying to hurt the kid, he just got reinstated. No reprimand, just a one game suspension while they investigated. Ugh.
