From NFL.com (Fantasy)..........
Is Patrick Ramsey fantasy starter material?
The short answer is "Duh." The longer answer is "We should have known."
If you have Patrick Ramsey, starting him should be a no-brainer.
Think about it: Steve Spurrier, offensive mastermind, made clear during the offseason that Ramsey was his starter. The Redskins then swiped Laveranues Coles away from the Jets and bulked up their offensive line. Then over the summer, a confident Ramsey told NFL.com how comfortable he was in the offense and that he couldn't wait to play! Sheesh, how many obvious clues did we need?
Perhaps the biggest clues are the ones that we've seen recently: Two 300-yard games, both with two touchdowns, and over 40 rushing yards to boot. Ramsey leads the NFL in passing yards with 889, more than half of what he tossed in his rookie year. He's also made everyone a believer in Coles, which happened to Chad Pennington last year.
Looking back at our preseason fantasy rankings, Ramsey was ranked 20th overall! An injured Michael Vick was just ahead of him. That one's getting filed under "What were we thinking?" As for Ramsey's status, there's no question he's one of the top 10 QBs in the league, so if you have him, start him.
I had a feeling right before the Jets game to pick him up (no one in my league drafted him). Culpepper was my starter, now i guess its time to put in Ram
