ok ok so I'm a little biased
But my son Jake's 2A JV football team went 6-3 this year with the 3 losses being to teams that were 3A, 3A, and 4A.
While this sounds kiiiiinda good...they did it with only 17 players! In one game (to one of the 3A schools) we only had 14 players.
We started with 24 and at any given time we had 7-10 players out with injuries...some season ending. Only about half happened in football btw.
So when they finished with no division loses and a 6-3 record (we actually won a game against a 3A school as well) we were beside ourselves!
I am so proud of them! The Varsity coach would actually make his team stop when our boys would jog by them in practice, he'd say "Stand aside boys and let the Ironmen come through!" He's a very happy coach to know he's getting this group next year!
