Have our rbs, fbs, and te learned enough to pick up that defensive blitzer? this game has me worried with us not taking care of our qb in a 3-4 scheme. I think the ol'ball coach figured it out in atlanta, but now we have to remember that wilbert brown is on there side. If we run the ball up the gut enough that will bring a man to man coverage, which will help us. I think W. Brown really might hurt us a little.

From this morning WashPost:

[ The Patriots claimed Brown off waviers Monday, and Brown told reporters he would tell coaches anything they wanted to know about the Redskins.
" Why not? I'm a Patriot now," Brown said. "I'm not a Redskin. If they ask me stuff, I'll tell them ...... ]

Spurrier is down playing this whole thing BUT he's got to work a game plan that addresses this IMPORTANT issue, IMO. I strongly believe we've seen it work effectively once this year with the Bills/Pats.

Can't blame him. He's a Pat now. Bottom line. We would expect the same here. Now, what would really be funny is to see brown cut by the Pats after this game.

Spurrier handled himself well in the face of Doug Johnson knowing his hand signal audibles....so I'm sure he can prepare for a Guard who played off and on in our system last year.

I think Brown will be worried enough about trying to gel with a new line and new scheme than remembering Betts' running style.

We handled the 3-4 well the 2nd half in atlanta

lets hope it doesn't take till the 2nd half for our guys to pick up the extra back. we must come out strong to stay in this game.

We enjoy the 17+ point deficits before getting the ball rolling. At least it appears that way.

Im worried because of Brady. You can easily get him out of his game if you pressure him, but with no pressure he will pick you apart. And if we commit to many men to rushing Brady then he will dump it off to Kevin Faulk(an awesome third down back) for big yards.

But if our defense can just make them punt occasionally then I think our offense could put it away

We need some stunts or something. I would like to see Bruce Smith get a sack soon. I think that would be a good boost for our defense.

Yeah, hopefully the blocking scheme is an adjustment made early in the game.
