....That Portis has a huge heart, doing what he had to do to get back and play...much respect clinton.
....That we are not ready for ANY prime time game. We looked horrible in all three games this year. Dear NFL please keep us at the Sunday 1:00pm slot. (Even though i'm fighting through many of you to get home from church service).
....That Janson Janson needs to go back to NFL JPD Camp (Junior Player Development ) and learn how to pass block.
....That Rock still plays with madd passion.
....That Jason can make plays only when he's standing up.
....That The Dline won't get 15 sacks this year as a whole.
....That The Defense is clearly leading this team.
....That Springs is stealing.
....GOD blessed us with another good Safety in Horton
....Akh and I will be still be at the Draft Party next year hoping for DLine help.LOL

Cowboys game was again a example of how teams will attack our offense.
Our pass protection is horrible week in and out.The Giants,Steelers and Cowboys all came with maximum pass rushes because we cannot block them.John Jansen is horrible on pass protection and regularly gets beat.He cannot move his feet to block quicker ends. Please start Heyer immediately
to correct this most obvious problem.
All teams look at tapes and see the same thing.By exploiting our poor pass blocking it takes away Campbell's ability to throw downfield to Moss.Use Sellers or Yoder as a second TE.
Our running game is solid along with defense and special teams. We need to fix pass protection to make playoffs.
Secondly a big shout out to Portis and Betts for playing hurt. They lead by example.
Cannot stand that Springs was unable to play.Get rid of Springs and Marcus Washington and Jansen.Time to move on with players that will play hurt or not.
We have to draft a offensive line this year.Priorities to RT and younger talent is needed desperately.

I am convinced... that we need to trade down, get a few picks in the second/third rounds, and draft on both sides of the line. And draft high.
What picks do we have this year, anyway?

I'm convinced....that we don't know how to put a game away. We have had leads in just about every game this season (if not all of them), and we failed at closing the deal 4 times. We play good football, but we play old football. We're a tough team to beat, yet we're still beaten. It's been like this for about 5 years now. This team needs to learn how to keep their foot on the pedal the entire game, and give opponents no chance to come back.

Please don't loop Washington and Jansen in with Springs. Regardless of how you feel they perform on the field, those 2 will show up and play hurt. Jansen played and entire season with two broken thumbs, and Washington's has been hurt this entire season and he only sits out when the coaches tell him too.
Springs is in a different class than either of these two. He does not play hurt under any circumstance.

I live in the west coast, 1PM games mean I drink beer at 10AM, Waaaaaaaay to early :(

I thought that having Heyer in the wings would motivate him, I wonder how well he recovered from his injury or if there is more to it than that.

Like most QBs
....That The Dline won't get 15 sacks this year as a whole.
What a bummer, obvious performance shortcoming in light of what they gave up for Jason Taylor.
....That The Defense is clearly leading this team.
Hail!

Arrest that man!

I agree with this statement but I also think all 3 should be put out to pasture, MW hasnt been healthy for 3 years now, Jansen will probably have the same problems trying to play G as Wade did due in part to his size and lack of athleticism. Springs has sprung let him retire, or go milk Jerruah's pocket.

I would try to retain Jansen strictly as a back-up, the others however can waste roster space elsewhere.

Maybe, I just wonder how easy Jansen is to cut since he restructured recently? I think he counts around 4 or 5 million next year. I'm not sure about the remaining years or the cap hit...assuming there is one in 2010. But either way thats an expensive back up...

If he can play center(he's listed as the backup OC), I would try him there and see if he's better than Rabach. Not having to worry about Lbs and blitzers might extend his career.

on the other hand, making snaps to the qb in shotgun might end it...lol
plus, to play center, you really need to get your butt down.. needs more flexibility in the hips than he might have.. but if he cannot move inside and play decently, he is finished as an effective lineman

You know I had forgotten all about him taking reps there this pre-season, he should be able to make the calls and he has the leadership qualities, but much like wade struggled at G wouldnt his height and build suggest an inability to play low enough? If I'm not mistaken he recently restructured so Im not sure if he'd be more economical to keep or to cut...

Has Rabach been a problem all season? Or is this simply a reaction to the Dallas game?

Rabach had really bad games against Pitt (Hampton owned him), the last Dal game and the Lions (I know Rogers is a beast and I give Rabach credit for doing his best, but he was outplayed). He also had some bad mental lapses in the first Dal. game. All and all, Rabach has not had a good season and when you consider his two worst games are the last two games, it is not a good sign of things to come.
