We have 17 Redskins on top of their respective positions in Pro Bowl voting!

Vote early! Vote often!

WOW!!

Read this (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/dcsportsbog/2008/11/redskins_successfully_make_moc.html)

Some highlights:

Running Back: Clinton Portis (with 51 percent more votes than second-place Adrian Peterson)
Wide Receiver: Santana Moss
Fullback: Mike Sellers (with 143 percent more votes than second-place Hedgecock)
Tight end: Chris Cooley (with 12 percent more votes than second-place Jason Witten)
Center: Casey Rabach
Guards: Pete Kendall and Randy Thomas (both with more than 25 percent more votes than anyone else)
Offensive Tackle: Chris Samuels (with 93 percent more votes than anyone else)

On defense, Washington has the top two tackles (both with at least 21 percent more votes than anyone else), the second-rated defensive end, three of the top four outside linebackers, the top inside linebacker, the top two cornerbacks (including No. 1 Shawn Springs, who has played in fewer than half of his team's games), the top free safety, and the top strong safety. That would be Chris Horton, who has an astounding 206 percent more votes than any other NFC strong safety.

This is pretty much a mockery. I'll be interested to see if the coaches and players are resistant to vote in Redskins that may be borderline.

Many of these guys won't make it. Fan voting is only one of the factors in the Pro Bowl voting. Portis, Rogers, Sellers, Cooley, Landry, and Horton all deserve it, though. Moss can earn a spot as well if we start using him like we were earlier in the year. Fletcher obviously should be in but for whatever reason he never makes it, anyhow, so we'll see.

I'm glad people are recognizing Horton.

Wow, well how honorable of you, lol. ;)

I vote for Redskins. Almost exclusively, otherwise I might end up having to vote for a Gint, Iggle or Cowgirl. I'm not concerned with upholding the sanctity or integrity of the Pro Bowl as it's pretty much crap anyhow. I would, however, like to say a few years from now though to some Dallass fan, "Roy Williams, pfffft, Chris Horton made the Pro Bowl as a rook."

I vote one time though, I mean I have a life to live, you know?

I waste far too much time on the internet doing far stupider things to say "hmmm... vote for Pro bowlers more than once? naaaaaaaaah..."

I voted a few times for those Redskins that in my mind deserve to go: Portis, Moss, Cooley, Rogers (though he can leave his hands at home) and Fletcher. I might have voted for Samuels too. Glad to here Horton get some props though.

No, he most certainly is not.

As someone else said, if they actually allowed defenders to hit the QB I think Romo and Brees would spend the next week or two up all night voting for offensive linemen.

Seriously though, I agree with Keino. Players should get in because they deserve it, not because they are the coach's sons of the NFL.

I'll vote for Portis, Samuels, Fletcher, Sellers, Cooley, and Rogers.

I agree and also find it a bit embarrassing to see the likes of Plackemeier(sp?), and our DL leading by wide margins. To me it takes away from the legitimacy of those who could actually be considered deserving.

I voted for the same people as IBB and a couple extra times for Fletcher, Portis, Samuels and Rogers.

On the other hand, I applaud our fans for showing what a Farce Fan involvement in the process is. Marion Barber doesn't make the pro-bowl last year were it not for the Fantasy football players of the world. That still burns me up that a RB who doesn't start for his team and fails to get 1000 yards can make the probowl over numerous, more productive starters.

I hope the NFL does something as a result of this. I see they were discussing it in PTI

Yeah I vote all Skins too
Other team's fans are gonna vote for their players so I'll vote for mine

This reminds me of the 2006 Derrick Frost pro bowl campaign (where we said that since a lot of people probably skip through the punters, we could send Derrick Frost to the pro bowl).

I can't vote for players that dont deserve to be there. I know how pissed I was when 13 Cowboys went last year because maybe 4 of them deserved to go. Andre Gerard, Roy Williams, Ken Hamlin, and Lenard Davis made it last year and they all stunk.

The only players that I would (and will) vote for on our team is

Portis - He has been a beast this year. And he is a pass blocking machine
Sellers - He is the best fullback in a non fullback league
Cooley - Best TE in the NFC. (Especially with Whitten getting injured)
Samuels - Even with our problems he still blocks the teams best rusher 1 on 1
Horton - Has any strong safety in the NFC really outplay this guy? NO!!

You can make a case for Landry as he is awesome in deep coverage but nobody even comes close to testing him so he seems invisble at times. Not any fault of his as that is what the scheme calls for him to do. Hopefully with Springs probably playing more safety we could blitz him more cause he is an animal around the line. Best blitzer on the to be honest.

Moss was on the fast track on getting back to Hawaii but he disappears in too many games to get there IMO. If he has a few more big games he will deserve to get in without question. But if he disappears for the remainder of the season he shouldn't go.

Holy Crap. How did I forget London Fletcher!!!! Maybe that is why he hasn't made it yet. He absolutely DESERVES to go to Hawaii. I love Carlos but he drops to many picks and probably will be penalized for it. He should go however but he wont make it this year. Next year for sure if he continues to play like this.

I was looking at the live SportsCenter broadcast this morning and Darren Woodson (former cowboy) called it a joke that there are 20 Redskins leading the probowl voting. And called the entire voting process a joke over all and how voting should go back to the players and coaches.

Funny...I dont remember him complaining this vigorously last season when 13 Cowboys went.

I do agree that the voting process is like an American Idol contest but I wish the national analyzers would try not to be hypocrites. If you are going to complain make sure that its consistent.

Yeah, when it happened last year with the Cowboys, they got down on their knees. Talking about how "talented" Dallas was. A sub-1000 yard running back and a 19 interception quarterback made the pro bowl last year.

SO a non-starting sub 1000 yard back deserves to make the pro-bowl because his team is 13-3?

Gee, silly me, I thought making the pro-bowl, or any all-star game was due to excelling individually.

Gee, silly me, I thought making the pro-bowl, or any all-star game was due to excelling individually.

The 13-3 remark was made to point out that the team should have sent more players to the Pro Bowl than most other organizations. I made no mention of Barber (nor do I agree with his making the team).
