With all of the free agent moves that we made during the off-season. Which were the BEST, WORST and most SURPRISING moves thus far...in your opinion? Here's mine.

BEST: COLES- An obvious choice. No question.

WORSE: Toss up between Noble and Upshaw. Not because Noble got hurt, but I stated several months ago, that neither one of these guys are playmakers, and are average....AT BEST.

MOST SURPRISING: Toss up between Jermaine Hailey and Peppi Zellner. Both of these guys IMO have done well, without much fanfare.

HONORABLE MENTION: Bowen. We NEEDED a Safety, and by George, we got one.

Sidebar note: DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY LIONEL "JELLY" DALTON ISN'T GETTING MUCH PLAYING TIME???

I feel its too early for me to give grades out to our newcomers except Coles who is clearly an upper echelon NFL receiver. He gets an A. I'll reserve judgement on the rest for now.

So far I'd agree with most of that, but it is really early. I would like to see Upshaw and Dalton play more.

The front office has to be pleased with the early returns.

Actually...Dalton was a gametime scratch last week. Not sure why...

I think they want him to play in less than 30% of the snaps this season.

Everyone gave Snyder a hard time for overpaying Coles...ha ha

Now every GM in the league is kicking themselves for not trying to go after him.

But the bad part is now Snyder had earned some credibility so whoever we go after next year other teams pursue hard to

Good thing about Dalton if he doesn't pan out .. is we have no responsability for any cap hit from a signing bonus because we traded for him.

Dalton didn't have ANY training camp or preparation with Denver. He was basically told stay away from the team until u are traded or released. So he is still really out of shape. They are trying to get him back into football shape now before they put him on the field.

Yeah, and everyone praised Atlanta's new owner for his "Savvy" in getting Pearless Price. HMMM. People also praised San Diego for getting David "Roids" Boston. Hmmm again. Snyder seems to be learning.

Great point. I think we will see more Dalton as time goes on. The man is playing his preseason now.

How's Mo Collins doing this year? Wasn't he in the FO sights to fill a guard spot? Randy Thomas appears to be our best lineman right now, good pick up. I'm happy the way things ended up with Fiore and Dockery not ending up w/ Collin's high price tag.

Haven't heard much about Collins. The rumors did center around Collins and Thomas before the signing period began.

Not fair to say Noble was the worst. We will have to wait a year ot see on him. For me, its easy call, Regan "Absent" Upshaw!
