Champ played awesome!!!! BUT, does he want to be a Redskin next year? Didn't sound like it not too long ago. Hope he stays.

He'll play for whoever pays him. He doesn't have a vendeta against this team. I think he probably liked the 55 mil but wanted a bigger signing bonus which he's earned. 13-15 mil and he sticks around.

He wants to be a Redskin because he can't get the money elsewhere.. He was the best player on the field today

He may want to be a Redskin for a bit less if we keep winning. Big tests coming up soon....

Champ is the best defensive back in football and, to my mind anyway, the most valuable defensive player in the league. He wants to be paid appropriately. The team which does that will earn his Pro Bowl performances for the next eight or ten years. I hope the Redskins are that team.

Cut Samuels and get this a guy a fair contract. Not too much more than what they offered him over the summer. He's the best but he's no Deion Sanders when it comes to things outside of covering.

After his performance today... I think most would agree with you. He knows he is playing for his career paycheck this year and I for one thing Danny will pay him whatever he wants come season end.

Afterall... playing hurt and all...

He played AWSOME today! Too bad he played HORRIBLE last week. (2 TDs against)

I'm not sold on "selling the farm" for him yet. What exactly does he want, other than getting an offer that makes him the #1 paid CB in the league? Snyder already gave him that.

No doubt DJ. You guy's act like we low-balled him or something. That contract we offered him was a huge initial offering. I hope we don't pay that much more for him.

Agreed. Also, I would argue that he isn't clearly the best player on the team. Coles for one is giving him a run for his money IMO.

Damn right. Coles is unbelievable. Every week he's getting closer and closer to becoming my favorite player period. I love his play and his work ethic. How many guy's get a contract like that and go down hill. This guy stays in the game hurt.

I could do the research...but I'm lazy today...when did Champ break his wrist? Do you think that contributed to last weeks performance?

Champ did good Sunday but hasn't played like that for the season. It would be a mistake to start clearing players out just to be able to sign him to a contract.
Best player on the team - No Way - Coles and Arrington are ahead of him in my book.

It's interestng that teams are beginning to throw his way more. They'll get some plays in but they'll eventually pay for it.

How about Bauman's int yesterday? It was funny, Champ and Smoot were patting him down after that INT. Good picture of it in the Post today.

Yeah I loved the "pat down because you must have stole something" routine with Bauman, Champ and Smoot.
