ESPN's John Clayton calls the Eagles and the Giants the front-runners to acquire Anquan Boldin via offseason trade. Philadelphia is reportedly the current favorite. Clayton believes Boldin's trade demand will be met, which would be big news for Steve Breaston dynasty owners. The compensation is expected to be a first- and third-round pick. Philly has two first-rounders (Nos. 21, 28). New York drafts 29th overall. Feb. 10 - 7:08 pm et

Moved to appropriate forum.

I'd hate to see the Eagles FINALLY get their #1 WR without an attitude. Well, no attitude compared to TO.

This could be the move that puts Philly over the top IMO. That is of course if PJ beats his battle with cancer. Which I hope he can.

This is old news. They have always been the front runners. When he was causing a stink last year they were the front runners as well.

Ive always heard the Eagles because they have a lot of young players that are very desirable.

Meh. The Eagles are always rumored to be after a big name WR and never actually make the move.

This could be dangerous... But kudos to a team for actually hording draft picks for the RIGHT opportunity to strike with a relatively young team.

sigh. football is depressing.

Agreed. Even if they land Boldin I'm not sure he's appreciably better than TO was when they had him, nor is that team in general in as good a shape. No one player pushes teams over the top (Tom Brady level QB aside, but they don't get traded) and considering the issues they have to address on their o-line and the PFT report that McNabb is likely skipping off-season programs, I think the Eagles, while solid, have their work cut out for them.

I personally would hate to see Boldin in the NFCE. But Arizona was actually a better team (wins wise) without him, and I can only imagine how good they will be next year with an extra first and third round pick, especially in a division that doesn't look to be any better. So sick.

Agree. IMO the obvious need spawns a lot of unsubstantiated gas in an effort by the press to create the impression of omniscience if it occurs. Nevertheless a 1&3 appears to be quite high.

even if the iggles do land boldin,so what?they'll still lose because they are the iggles!i'd rather see him go to philly than new york.the cardinals would be real idiots to NOT trade him out of the nfc anyway.

I love how in December, there was talk of Reid and McNabb being through. Now, they're only a piece away from a ring, lol.
