looked very good today especially the screen early in the game. How he got out of that mess I don't know but this guy has some jets. Overall I really like our running game w/ him, Betts, and Morton.

Yeah, i thought that he was pretty effective. The fumble was scary but I think that he was getting better with each carry up to that point. That screen pass was great.

E8, your boy is having a very good start so far. trung just worries me with all the dancing he does. his speed really does help the O go though.....im really pleased with the running game thus far...

The fumble was bad but it was a clean pop from behind and not from being tackled or anything.

LadyN your not supposed to say he's my boy when I'm spreading propaganda. ;)

you can tell that trung is getting that hop in his step like he had down the street at U of A. I agree that the fumble was more of a good play by the defender than Trung not being able to hold on. He nearly had the game breaker that everyone's been dying for.

Hey truant, how's my ol' ASU stopping grounds holding up w/o me this semester?

Emann, you were the one poster that I remember hearing and defending Trung the most. Good job. I've been very pleased with both of our WRs thus far.

From what I saw that fumble was simply a good play by the defensive player. That stuff happens. Luckily we recovered and were able to hold on.

You mean RB's Carmike?! Me too, Betts has shown me a lot too. I have to admit I didn't expect Betts to be as good as he is hats off to him too.

Oooops. Yes I meant RBs.

OK, I thought that I would NEVER say it, but maybe Spurrier and the FO knew what they were doing when they let Steven Davis go because he didn't "fit the system". I LOVE Steven Davis, but honestly, Trung turned in runs that Davis would have picked up 4 yards.......into 15, 20 (plus) yard gains. Betts continues to impress also. Morton is starting to come into his own. Hmmm. I'm starting to miss Davis less. We do NOT have the workhorse that he (Davis) was, but this running back by committee might....just might prove to be better.

The RBs are doing a great job on both passing on running plays, other than the blitz pickup, which they're improving on. I saw Betts make a monster block today that literally made the rusher flip end over end and land on his back.

Huge props to Gardner for staying with the play and making the recoverery

Yup. I really liek the way our backfield is. Each week i like it more and more. Betts, Trung, Morton, Rock, Johnson, all doing there thing. Fact is, it works.

E8- I graduated, but campus is a trip. The MU is totally different. They have all these new resturants and projection TV's with ESPN on... i lost my mind when i visited to check out how campus was.

Guess we know where our tuition money went.

I am glad that Trung had another good game. I too am waiting to see him break the big one. I thought he was gonna get it in this game. It just seemed like it was coming.....

Gardner showed a lot of hustle on the fumble play too.

I must admit I am growing to like the RB by committee thing!

Trung definitely looked great today, the fumble was just a great play by the defender. a gusty one at that. the Defensive stand at the end of the game was awesome.

Ramsey sure seems like the warrior, i feel so lucky we have him.

god i hope we beat the eagles next week, my best friend is a eagles fan and already saying skins have no shot at winning. said all their wins were lucky due to other teams injuries.

Stephen Davis is on pace for over 2,150 yards in Carolina and is averaging 5.3 yards per carry .. so he's not doing too shabby either. I don't buy the 'he didnt fit into the system' argument. We had to part ways with his enormous salary in order to further the team, but he still would have been the best RB on the roster.

FORD: I agree with you (to a point) and I too believe that Davis is a heck of a back. What Skins fan would think otherwise? However, If I'm not mistaken, both Trung and Betts are "averaging" a handfull as well. The difference is that our RB's are getting about 10 touches a game, while Davis is getting 30!! Oh, and the on pace 2,100 yds won't happen. Davis has looked good so far, but those numbers will flatten out. By the way, Jamal Lewis (Baltimore Ravens) is "on pace" to rush for about 2,500 yards. Also, I did mention that Steven Davis is a workhorse. I loved the guy, but you have to admit that our present RB's are looking good and Trung is making runs that Davis simply couldn't make, period.

I HATE RB BY COMMITTEE! That being said I will give props to the coaching staff andCanidate, Betts, Morotn, Johnson, etc. for making it work, so far this season. I like Trung because he does "dance" and has the athletic ability to react quickly. The fumble was a clean defensive shot - . However, I still have a little nagging voice in me that says Trung may cost us by fumbling - I hope not. ! So WTG Trung !

I think he's doing well but I don't like the dancing either. But our running game is effective.

Trung has been exceptional so far. (Althought I better not see another fumble anytime soon!)

I'd like to see him involved in the passing a little more. One quick RB screen to him and it could spell dissaster for our opposing defense. Lots of running backs around the league (Portis and Garner come to mind) attain HUGE yardage on RB screen passes.

Hey coaching staff.....................check it out !!!

Good point DJ - could be a way to contribute to a win against the "igles" on this weekend coming up!

And our parking ticket money. :banghead: I saw some of the construction going on over the summer, I'll see the finished product when I go back for a few weeks to finish some 'stuff.'

Trung dances but hits the hole too. As far as Davis I loved him too but I just don't see him doing the same things as our RBs right now. He just takes too long to wind up w/ what we need.
