Winning UGLY???? Hey, a win is a win........but this one was ugly. I'll take it for now, but we can't play like this in Philly next week. Some points to remember about the New England game.

* Prevent Defense NEVER works!!!

* Our D-Line can't get any pressure.......and can't stop the run.

* Trung continues to impress. Man, this guy is EXPLOSIVE.

* Steve Spurrier is really LEARNING the NFL game. He seems to get a little bit too conservative in the 4th quarter of games.....but last year, we were complaining that he was to "liberal" with the passing game.

* Us- 0 turnovers. Them- 4 turnovers.

* The offensive lineman who plays with the most poise.....is a freakin' rookie (Dockery).

* Coles didn't have a big day.......AND WE STILL WON. So much for the "take Coles out of the mix and the Redskins can't do squat" sentiment that were hearing (especially from Jets fans;)).

* Ade Jimoh shouldn't be getting on the field at all this year.

* Champ Bailey played HURT.....and had a BEAST of a game.

* Patrick Ramsey actually looked "mortal".

* Morton is showing nice progress.

Were 3-1 and have Philly coming up. This game is big. If we can cut down on penalties (do you hear me Chris Samuels?) and run a balanced offense....as well as have a solid game on Defense, then we should fair pretty well............unless Special Teams screws it up. Hail to the Redskins!!!!!

I don't think it was an ugly win...we just went into conservative mode too early.

Bottom line, we have had three comebacks, we were due to have a team pull a comeback on us. So, now that it is over, i guess the next thing to get is a blow out. We will blow out PHILLY!

I don't think it was an ugly win either as was said I think we got too conservative to early. I also don't agree that we didnt stop the run we really couldnt stop the short pass.

Exactly! Philly is now "confident" that they can win (after beating a good Buffalo team on the road).

Perhaps the understated most importnat aspect of yesterday's win was clearly the fact that the past eight years, these are the type of games WE LOSE. This team is different, they are wuinning close games, they are coming back from being blown out, and now they show they can hold on after an opposition surge. This is a stark contrast to the last few years when this team would either fold or collapse.

Well, I didn't like the prevent defense. I thought the defense played welll when they were more aggressive. Dockery did a fine job in his first start. I think Patrick did what was asked of him by Spurrier and I can handle that. He's not going to throw for 350 yards every game. Spurrier went to the run in the 2nd half and that's something alot of us said had to be done to win this game. Guess what? Spurrier ran the ball and we won.

That's exactly what had me scratching my head AND it was obvious to see. Sure they were gambling being more aggressive but it was affective. ....... The bottomline is we won I guess and that is the MOST important thing. But I know in my heart and mind, this Sunday we CAN NOT play like we did yesterday and exspect to win.

The only thing a Prevent Defense prevents when you play it, is it prevents you from winning.

O.K. - so the stats showed that we were poor performers, but the only stat that matters is the W - L and we get the W.
That being said, I agree we cannot play yesterdays game in Lincoln Field.
But, the glimmer of hope in all those stats was the TO ratio.... all those years with Mr. Gibbs proved that! We need to create turnovers against the "igles" in their house..... that will cause them a alot of pain!
