Rugby Time!

I know we have a few Rugby fans here.

My boys have started their spring season. Both are starters on the A side. They are playing for Western Loudoun again. Michael is at Scrum Half this year, and Jake is at Flanker.

Win against (Defending VA state champs) NOVA 12-5

I see that no one but me comes into these threads...but in case anyone does.

My 2 sons Div I Rugby club has had a perfect season and is off to the Virginia State Championships in Lorton on Sat June 6.

We beat the defending champs last week in the semi-finals "do or die" match.

After a tie in regulation play, we went to best out of 5 kicks. Which also ended in a tie 3-3.

Then we went to sudden death kicks. They kicked-missed, we kicked-missed, then them, then us...then they kicked a third time and missed and then our big 6' 7" #8 man with his busted up ankle dropped kicked it into the goal for the win.

I almost threw up... :D

UPDATE: Both the boys club and the girls club won the Div I Championships! See that cool trophy the boys are hoisting? We have 2 of those...pretty cool!
