I was (trying to) listen to sportstalk 980am (locally) this afternoon. I caught the tail end of it, but Champ Bailey was featured on the show. Also, due to my poor am reception, I could barely make out what he said. Apparently, they were talking about contract negotiations with the Redskins and the team possibly "franchise tagging" him. I couldn't really make out his response, but I did hear him give praise to QB Patrick Ramsey. He basically said that he is a fine young QB and may go down as one of the greats.
DID ANYONE.....I MEAN ANYONE....HEAR THE SHOW? I would have loved to hear all of what Champ had to say.

Heard the whole thing. Basicly all Champ said was that he didn't think there was anything "positive" about the franchise tag, but understands the business side of the NFL.
Mostly they talked about his playing banged up and about the the team. How their playing good but can play better and about how strange is is to play for SS, being that Champ is from GA, he gets a lot of ribbing from his friends.
Champ also mentioned that the Skins continue to very little respect because of the teams they playing being w/o staring players.

And don't forget about that Jungle Karma.....
Champ and the Skins got it now.......
If you doubt it's power, just look at the Jets and C Martin.....he refused to go into the Jugle and well you know the rest of the story....

I hope that Champ didn't sound negative (w/regard to the stall in contract negotiations). Like most people on this board, I WAN'T CHAMP TO STAY A REDSKIN...........BUT ONLY IF HE WANTS TO BE HERE.

I would not say he sounded negative at all. He seemed to like the the way team was playing and the potential it has. i think someone else said it here before -- if the Skins play weel this year and make the playoffs, Champ will probably stay.

Yep. Champ wants to win and feel the glory of being on solid Redskin teams. If you build it, he will come, I mean stay.

I think that the FRUSTRATIONS that Champ (and some other players who already left for other teams) have has to do with the inconsistency at Redskins park over the last few years. Many players were getting pissed with changing D coordinators every year, etc. STABILITY is one of the keys to success (and happiness) with our players and team (imo).
