Jeez, that's more good news for the Redskins. I'm very impressed with how well the Philly cornerbacks played against Buffalo, though. I'd heard Lito Sheppard was not highly regarded by the Philly coaching staff--who ought to know. All these injuries to competitors and virtually none to our own team; Redskins must be the luckiest team in the NFL this year. By far.

Dawkins is the key to their secondary. Without him, we would still be able to do things even if Vincent and Taylor were playing. If he plays, their secondary will still be very good without slow and slower.

Its a good bet that two of the three will play. In fact, until its official and they are in street clothes on Sunday, I bet all will play.
It doesn't matter if they do. The Skins have to expect to win.

So if the Skins pull this out, i guess this win would not count either then:banghead:

I'm more impressed with victories over healthy teams [I hope we get one of those one day], but the Skins can only play the teams on their schedule. If those teams are beat up, all the Skins can do is play the guys they've got. They count the same in the standings.

Well one thign is clear. We may not see as many safety blitzes with the two starters out. They will blitz, they will bring it, but they may be hesitant. I look for big games for Coles and Gardner.

This certainly appears to be the best time to face the Eagles. If we cannot beat them now, we'll have to get a lot better before December to beat them in our place.

Actually the Eagles have not changed their defensive plans as a result of the injuries Jim Johnson (the defensive coordinator sent a lot of blitzes at Bledsoe, although we actually got a lot of pressure with just a 4 man rush. Sheldon Brown, our new starting QB got a sack and a forced fumble. He said it is actually easier for these guys to blitz than to stay back because then they can run full out instead of having to react.
Our "Baby Boom" passed their first test last week. It will be interesting to see how they do this week, but I don't think you can count on too many passing TD's

I think with as potent as the Redskins offense shown it can be this season already, this will be an excellent test for your young guys. It will get you guys a good glimpse of the future.

Ramsey threw for 3 TDs last year against a perfectly healthy Philly backfield. I'm sure he will be fine against a young Philly backfield.
I see Spurrier giving Ramsey more 3-step drops to help stop the Philly Pass rush. That will most likely include more dump offs and screens.

The dump offs and screens hurt us last week. I am not sure if that will be effective for a second week in a row. From our side we have to control the time of possesion to limit the amount of times Ramsey has the ball. Hopefully Reid will not forget the run game after it worked so well last week.
Last year we jumped out to a big lead and played back which was clearly a mistake. The big match up in my mind is ND Kalu against Chris Samuels. Samuels seemed toown Douglas and I think Kalu can do better. I am really looking forward to a hard fought game. If you guys can avoid penalties, it could be a tight game down to the wire

Yeah, I don't place too much credence in Ramsey's stats against the Eagles at the end of last year. Philly played a prevent defense for most of the game. This should be a tough one for the Redskins.

I thought Dawkins was definitely out for a few more weeks....
