Just another, of more to come I'm sure, pesky little ranking lists that make absolutely no sense even if you were a monkey!
EAGLES #3 .... WHAT? They have as many questions on defense as we have on offense.

17 ?? actually higher than we deserve based upon the second half of last year.
the Eagles are ALWAYS a sexy choice.. people have excuses for them right and left once the season begins.. actually, i think they will miss jim johnson more than any player, and you cant replace a brian dawkins

True. I try not to hold it against them since my heart goes out to him, but he was a bit of defensive mastermind. You just can't replace that.

Ranking are such BS ........... everyone at this point should be ranked #32 or #1. Got to get through training camp and preseason AND at least four games before there's REAL meaning.

Exactly. And all these picks are so conservative in nature. Who predicted the Falcons last year? Or the Dolphins? Or the Ravens? Or that that Pack would win 6 games? Or that the Lions would have a "perfect" season? Or that the Chargers would barely get their division? etc etc. So much could go either way for every single team that these rankings are pointless.

I agree.... with the exception of the Colts winning their division or picking NE I think it is completely up in the air every year.

i would not be at all surprised if the falcons and dolphins both slide back a lot this year..

Yeah like anyone had the Cards going to the SB.....no one in this world saw that coming....which makes me know that on any Sunday anyone can beat anyone....it's about peaking at the right time....

I actually think both will too. Both teams get a taste of what a tough schedule feels like after feasting on an easy one last year. And probably a lot of Michael Turner/Matt Ryan fantasy owners are going to be very disappointed.

i agree with this. they may still be running the same defense, but a different guy will be calling it. also its hard to fill the leadership a guy like brian dawkins brings to the table

I agree with Shally, we are ranked a little high considering we haven't improved the o-line much, a still unproven QB in his 5th year and aging receivers.

Presumably the #17 ranking is due to a defense that is expected to be decent. While I think the middle of the pack is about where the Skins belong, it is a hard pill to swallow to be ranked behind Buffalo.
Incidentally, I tend to agree with your assessment that the Falcons and Dolphins may come down to earth this season, particularly the latter.

Actually I'm surprised we even were ranked this high. I think most of the mediots will think we'll have an excellent defense which will carry this team. Real question is whether Campbell or the WR group or the older OL can improve and score some points. At this point no one knows what this team is going to do.
