Favre opened up his mouth about last year's injury, a torn bicep muscle, with about 4-5 games left in the season. Since he was not on any injury report by the Jets, the league is investigating the issue.

Just go away Favre. Please. (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4462072)

just when the media hype is over about him, he open's his mouth to get more attention. He's nothing but a drama queen. I can't stand the loser. I hope he fails miserably in MN. Here's to you failing at yet another "comeback" you washed up, crybaby, overhyped, drama queen..... :stout: <cheers>

Dave I know you've been saying this for a lot longer than most people.
I myself saw the light last offseason (like most folks)

Aside from the fact that he's a complete tool, he is no longer capable as a player (even though ESPN for some reason still thinks it's 1996 and that the addition of Favre makes Minny a Superbowl contender).

I'm as sick of Favre as everyone else, but the Jets were 8-3 coming off a road win in Tennessee (which was the Titans first loss) when he got injured. He clearly has some game left when healthy, despite his antics. The Jets offense was completely different than what he was accustomed to...now that he's in Minnesota, he should only be better. Whether you like him or not, he's still a factor.

I am shocked that the Jets wouldn't report Favre's Upper Body Injury.

A clever cover for his late season collapse....but I wonder how he could explain the previous 4 years of late season craptacular play.

Yeah, I'm not buying this at all. His yardage per game before the supposed injury was 223.73 a game. His yardage after his "injury" was 202(about 10% drop), but he had his 5th best yardage game after his supposed injury. Thomas Jones' rushing yards went from 86 yards per game to 72 per game(16% drop), the whole offense appears to have collapsed.

He sure is less than canny or graceful in his dealings with the public and media than you'd expect from such a crusty veteran. Not very bright.

He is such a douche. The speculation here is that there will be a monetary fine against the Jets. All because this JO feels the need to open his mouth.

Diva/Martyr/Douche's ego has surpassed epic and is approaching divinity. He can do what he wants, when he wants, yet culpability will never be his and he will be sure to let everyone know that.

even my special ladyfriend, who doesn't follow the NFL nearly as closely as me but would follow me into the depths of redskins hell (we're getting there), said: "i'm getting very tired of brett favre".

His exposure has reached a point that - in some monastery in Nepal - there's a group of Buddhist monks who are tired of him.

Agree. And since when is being honest being a snake? The Jets management broke the rules and should own up to it (they did) and pay for it (the fine will be miniscule). But saying his performance decrease was due to injury, not age/deterioration is honest. Btw Farve was elected a team captain by the players, who should know best. I agree Farve is an off-season drama queen, but do not agree that this is a factor in his in-season abilities and leadership qualities.
