View Full Version : Preemptive Defense Against Usual Nonsense

I'm obviously in a large group of Redskins fans who are fed up ... many if not most of that group isn't just fed up but has been becoming fed up for a long time. I think its important to silence the usual response to being fed up with the Skins up front ...
I am not a "hater" ... I love this team. I grew up loving this team and stayed through thick and thin ... mostly thin ... and mostly very thin since Jack Kent Cook passed away and the team was sold.
I am not a "quitter." My current state of fed-up-ness isn't because of the Lions game ... or the three games this season ... or losing records. Its because of a systemic pattern of organizational ineptitude that has become entrenched at Redskins park. I'm not quitting on the team but I do require the team not to quit on me.
I am not a "fair weather fan." I went to games that Schuler started at QB. I planned weekends around teams led by laundry list of 2 and 3rd tier quarterbacks, ancient linemen, overpaid prima donna receivers, first round busts, mega free agent busts, and worst of all coaches who insist on offensive and defensive schemes that adjust neither for the skills and lack of skills of their players ... or the weaknesses and strengths of the opposition.
I know what the Redskins can be and I want them to at least come close to that standard ... players who over-achieved, QBs who played with confidence as well as ability, defensive and offensive coordinators who out-smarted the opposition and when necessary made realtime adjustments that were legendary, post game interviews that don't include whining or finger pointing.
Anybody who tries to make my (our) current dissatisfaction with the Redskins sound like I don't care, don't understand or I don't have what it takes to be a "good" fan can kiss my :moon2:

Great post. The only thing I will add is for Snyder to please sell the team. He is the disease that has infested this once proud organization and until he does, it will continue to be the Circus of mediocrity.

+1 for the thread, and +1 for this comment (though after these 3 games I am not sure whether we can achieve mediocrity, at least this year).

Because of how fed up i have been over the past 3 weeks of this team, i have just been lurking on here instead of posting. Because if i posted, it would be so much rant. But the TS has hit the nail here with my feelings.
I am only 24 years old, so i was really young when we won SB's. But ever since i have been able to comprehend football, ive been a skins fan. Raised as a skins fan by family and been die hard. But my luck since then, the skins havent been a winning team AT ALL. But every sunday i still surround myself around the TV HOPING not to be let down, but i really know what the outcome is going to be.
But i am officially going on strike of going to the games, and spending my hard earned money on tickets. Im fed up with this office.
But the sad thing is, i just dont see a solution to our problem happening in the near future.
Sad thing is, im so die-hard of a skins fan, i actually have a tattoo of the logo on my leg...

Dude, there is no reason for you to have to rationalize this and make yourself feel better by defending your position. They are horrible and dont deserve the time and effort right now it takes to be a fan, period. I hope Fed-up field looks like a walk thru practice on Sunday...
Me writing this is already too much time spent....
