There are some nasty comments at the bottom, but I thought he did a great job of summing up what our problems have been for so long. I actually did not know Cerrato had been with us since Snyder bought the team, and I also didn't realize exactly how much the two together had squandered. I don't know if there will be much new info for some of our posters, but to me it's encouraging that people are writing about the problems we've seen for so long.

Sadly that article just about sums up Redskins football at the moment. I actually thought he held back quite a bit and was rather nice. He could've written much more about the incompetence of Snyder and Cerrato, but that horse has just about been beaten to death.

In the voice of "The ole Ball coach"
"Welp that just about sums it up sums it up for me."
This whole thing is a joke....and after all this badd press Snyder should not be laughing. For our sake, I hope it keeps coming....I hope who ever goes to the game, boos when they come out of the locker room......in other words, give people something good to shout about and they will....

No it hasn't...it'll be beaten to death after Snyder does the right thing....if not, keep it coming...finally the world is getting a glimpse of what the fans have been dealing with and how this org has been run in the ground since he began ownership....

Since Jason doesn't have to pull his punches to retain access he can demonstrate a refreshing candor. Nothing he didn't hint at here, just out in the open now.

We all continue to harp on these things. If I ran the team, (I know, huge if and everyone at one point in time has had the same delusion) I would take a business and franchise model that has proven to be successful over time and I would emulate that. This is a simple issue of ego and pride, both of which Snyder is in adequate supply. He wants to rub peoples noses in it. He wants to do it his way and win. If he can't do it his way and win, then he won't do it at all.
Brass tax. That's it. If he can't get it accomplished his way, then it simply won't happen. Beyond his desire to win with the Redskins, is his desire to be right, is his desire to be able to look back at all the people that have second guessed him since he bought the team and say "I told you".
It's truly pathetic and anyone with any semblance of understanding psychology can look at the situation and deliver this prognosis; Dan Snyder is a classic example of someone who is over-compensating. His mannerisms and attitudes are merely a defence mechanism compensating for an underlying feeling of inadequacy.
We've all met guys like this. Little guys who've had the good luck and work ethic to become successful. To them, their success is justification. They then immediately adopt the 'prickish' attitude like they've arrived and that the line to kiss their asses starts on the left. When I was going to school, I had a job at country club bartending. We would get the old money guys who were, for the most part, enjoyable to be around. Then you would get these late 30's, early 40's buttholes who hadn't come from much, but became successful and they would wear that like it was some crown of thorns. They were impossible and generally just jerks. Even people who played golf with them would comment to us, the staff, about what complete a-holes these guys were.
There you have it. Snyder is no different from any of the other cats I've met just like him over the years. Behind his back, those that know him say the very same things that have been repeated over time about men like him. He has to hear the whispers from all corners of the globe, but I believe that only galvanizes his resolve to do it his way.
It's truly tragic. I know the guy wants to win, and I know he's a fan. The sad thing is, he's the reason that he's not getting what he so desperately wants. What we want.

A situation has to be past and in your rear view mirror to be able to make that kind of statement, I think. The sad fact is, that horse has barely left the barn. It's going to get a lot worse for Redskins fans before the ownership situation gets resolved. Not just this year, but for years to come. Maybe decades. This is why some people are depressed -- even in July.

I'm saying there's no new way to say how incompetent our owner/front office is. Personally I'd like to beat the horse on this one until it's a skeleton. I loathe Snyder for what he's done to our once proud franchise and would love nothing more than to see him and Cerrato gone.

There's a small part of me that feels bad for Zorn. How many other coaches in the NFL wasn't allowed to hire his own staff? He was pretty much set up to fail IMO.

I can accept him here, but only if he concedes control.

Then again, it's his fault he hasn't gotten the young receivers in the ballgame.

I can actually see an end of season scenario where Zorn stays and BLACHE gets "retired". I think Zorn would like to see a more aggressive defense. You give Zorn one more year and bring in one of Lebeau's assistants to run a 3-4.

This team needs and identity. After this season we will probably looking for a new head coach and a new quarterback, and we will probably need a fresh running back a year or two after that. The FO needs to decide what kind of football team we want to be and they need to stick with it. But that's never gonna happen.

That's the problem...He'll never concede a thing. He's a hands-on owner in the mold of Jerry Jones. He can't just sit back and let someone run the team. It's just not in his DNA.

i dont feel bad for Zorn at all.. he was totally unqualified for the position for which he was hired.
he was on the ash heap of nfl coaches with very few prospects after Holmgren passed him over
he has had 3 years to polish up his resume and make the most of his financial windfall
considering what is happening all across this country during this economic downturn, Zorn is riding mighty fat and sassy.. So, he has to put up with some grilling by the media ? see how much sympathy that garners among the recently unemployed in Cleveland or Detroit..
he is one of the luckiest men in America right now..

I totally agree.
If this team as good as "they say they are".... prove it. At this stage, who cares whether booing affects their psyche. This organization has been stealing our money! The players don't mind tweeting about how much more money they make than the rest of us.
Promises... Promises...that's all we get. They say they're improving. Improving?!!
Well screw that.... put up or shut up.

Tomlin didn't hire his staff....he OC and DC were already in place....the Rooneys made it clear that he could not bring anyone in....they just needed a "kick in the butt kinda guy". which matches tomlins' style..
