hR NBA keeper league: 2010/2011

Ok who is down for an NBA keeper league? I know we have tried this for the past couple of years and for one reason or another it always fails. I am determined to keep one open.

This will be a matchup HTH Category league. 7 keepers per year and daily transaction limits (1 per day) and large rosters to keep from roster churning. 11 starters and 7 bench players, but no utilities, all starters are in sub categories. This will make sure you have a balanced roster as well.

Ok I called ESPN and they said I can't add the IRs to the league without resetting the draft.

I think I am still going to do this and then add every person's roster back in manually. I forgot to add the IRs so I will do this. However...no transactions will count until i do the roster dump.

I did it for you Mike, but you need to hit the "manage Ir" tage to move a player to ir, not just moving from the front page of your team. LOok for the manage IR button.

I'm feeling pretty good about my team now. Six week winning streak now and my team is now more/less locked into 2nd or 3rd. If only I had gotten used to checking ESPN everyday about two months earlier. I cost myself anywhere from 25-30 more category wins by not setting the lineup everyday.

It was fun, but IMO way too many positions and too many on the bench. Wasn't squat to do to make your team better. The haves had it all. And non haves didn't have squat. :)

I think that 7 matchup moves is a bit high too and think 3-5 is plenty and keeps it competetive from week to week. Although without them i9n the final week I may not have had a crown to place on my weary head lol.

well there are only 7 keepers so in a way you get a great chance to rebuild and redraft most of your team.

With only 8 teams you needed a deep bench and playing pool to keep roster churning low, which we did.

We can do an expansion to get 2 more players and allow them to draft Ala the expansion we have done in the NFL league

The league is set. Skinfanjon takes over funk donkeys and Koinzx takes over Roundball.

Draft order is reverse order of last seasons regular season standings for the bottom four and playoff results for the top 4. Consolation games don't count.

Lastly I need keepers from Lil Dez and Skinfanjon and skinfanjon needs to accept the invitation to move forward

Yeah, I saw all of those but I never received a PM nor an email with an exact date of the draft so I assumed it had stayed the same.

Only thing that pisses me off is that I was there for the original draft while no one else was there, only to have that team taken away. Now, I miss this draft without a notice of when it was going to be.

I'll play, but I had a plan for my team this year. I kept all of my bigs with a plan to draft heavily on the guards / shooting guards. I would have never picked up Tim Duncan.

So here it is I emailed all members, if we are to redraft we must have 5 votes to do it before Monday midnight. I vote yes. If we redraft we do it Friday night after 8pm (time to be chosen after i reset draft) and i will do a better job about posting it> I assume everyone got the email from espn about the change. aso you will be able to adjust your keepers up until 6pm on friday to make it fair. This lockout changed so much we have no idea who is signing where.

Only day I can do it is 21st after 8or the 23rd after 8. With a retail schedule at christmas thats the best I can do and If I cant be there Id just as soon not redraft to be honest.

I work swing shift and don't get off till 11 all week. That's why I asked for it to be switched to the 17th so I could be there. Next day off is 24th.

It doesnt look like any one day will work for everybody so Im not sure what we should do. If we cant agree on a date is there really any need to redraft?My team could use some work but I dont hate it and we have already drafted twice.

this is where i am leaning as well. I think we just hold the teams we got, make some trades and move on. I don't think the people that were there at the draft are any better off. Also since the league starts on Christmas Day a Christmas eve draft which most people can attend would be a problem.
