It would have been more damaging to lose to a team with 9 of it's starters missing and we didn't. You guys are 1-2 overall and 0-2 at home and 0-1 in the division. We are 3-1 overall, 2-1 at home and 0-1 in the division. If we lose, we'll be 3-2 overall, 2-1 at home and 0-2 division. If you lose, you'll be 1-3 overall, 0-3 at home and 0-2 in the division.

Which would you rather be?

thats because you played more games. if we played the jets/falcons we would have two more wins as well... oh wait we still have them on our schedule, while you have tampa and buffalo still to play. good luck.

the eagles psyche is damaged by the bucs, but guess what-- your not the bucs, your the soon to be 3-2 redskins

I would rather be an Eagle fan. I believe that early in the season a lot of things can happen that are not indicative of the way the season plays out. The Eagles 2 losses were primarily due to Reid calling a terrible game plan by avoiding the run and long passes and McNabb having two of the worst games I have ever seen him play. That does not mean that the team is bad, just a dry spell. Certainly we have put ourselves in a bad position. However we have just seen what happens if McNabb can play a little better (he was not great last week, just good) and Reid goes with the run and some deep throws. This is still a darn good Eagle team and one that if they play up to their potential will win a lot of games the rest of the way.

At the start of the season I thought the Skins would have a tough time of it. They have been much more impressive than I expected. Ramsey has been great. Coles has been great. However I see problems with both O and D lines. This will hurt you unless they improve. I am surprised at the O Line because Samuels and Jansen have been studs in the past. I am not surprised by the bad D Line. Next to QB and CB, it is line play that determines who wins and loses. That is why I pick the birds. Our O line had problems the first two games, but a lot of that was McNabb not getting rid of the ball. Anyway we will find out tomorrow.

By the way although our names are similar, please do not confuse me with eagles20. He is only 1/100th of the man that I am.

You (eagles2000) offer sound reasoning for your position. Eagles20 on the other hand has a different agenda here and it hasn't gone unnoticed.

It is early in the season and anything can happen. Both teams could end up going in the opposite direction that they are now. But teams could succeed as well. Yes, we have issues with both lines right now but it's something that could be corrected. I don't like it when people don't give us a chance at all. It's the NFL and on any given Sunday...yada yada yada. Most people didn't expect us to be 3-1 when they first saw our schedule. Things happen and you do need some luck in the NFL to win. So far the ball has been bouncing our way, something we haven't experienced in a long time. People say, well the Jets were without several players, the Pats were without several players. So what, we beat them. If we didn't beat them, can you imagine what they would be saying.

We all have our reasons for why we support our team and nothing is going to change them. You'd rather be an Eagles fan and I'd rather be a Skins fan. What's wrong with that.

ok manly man here you go. the eagles lost to the bucs because their defense is far better than the eagles offense. mcnabb and reid only looked bad because the tampa d made them look that way. you would know that if you were a real eagles fan, but i'll let it go because you were probably in the gym that night pumping up, being such a manly man and all. don't ever challange me on eagle football. i will own you and i don't want to make you look silly in front of all your redskin pals

If this is your argument, then your logic is either flawed or completely missing. The fact that we aren't the Bucs means that although the Eagles can't beat them, they have no problem with rebounding and carrying on with the rest of season. We on the other hand, are doomed to mediority because of a hypothetical loss to the Eagles? Yeah, okay.....

Hey Eagles 20 I was just having fun with the similarity of our names, and the math involved. I am sure your number is due to your feelings of respect for Mr. Dawkins, while mine is because this is the Eagles century (feel free to look me up in 2100 if I am wrong).

I was at the Eagles game with Tampa and I say McNabb throw passes high and low and too hard. I saw a terrible clock managment at the end of the first half with 2 yard passes where Duce couldn't get out of bounds. I saw the Ealges run 7 times over the entire game, and 1 pass attempt over 20 yards. I saw a Tampa D that played expecting a 3-8 yard pass and was right 85% of the time. And I saw a Tampa D that could have been beaten if we had a decent game plan. We owned Tampa for 3 years and it was quite disapointing to lose to them in the NFCC game last year and this opening game, but there is no way they have that much of a better D than our O.

I think we win this week because Reid has shown he does remember that we have running backs and will pound the ball about 30 times. This will allow McNabb to be more effective as it is easier to pass if you don't know whether it is coming.

I once read somewhere that some Eagles fans didn't want an infusion of Skins fans on their message board because of the fear of trolling and arguing, yet here we have two Eagles fans that began to fight amongst themselves because one misunderstood the other. The irony of such is something that I couldn't let slip by without commentary.

I understand the treatment you guys got and that was a shame. However we are a tough board and we have some very nasty battles mostly with ourselves. We have had a number of trolls and by the way Eagles20 is nowhere near the kind of problem posters we get. You have to have a thick skin to post there, but you can be rewarded with very thoughtful and in-depth posts. I try not to get into too many fights but I did have one with Giantsfan that went on for weeks.

A lot of people just give up because they feel it is not worth the aggravation. Jeff does a good job as administrator, but does not ban many posters unless they are really over the top. Obviously we keep coming back to a board that we find interesting and amusing. We all get a lot of laughs from the comments and the one where Pennskinsfan introduced this board was one of the best. It took us away from infighting for a few days. Unfortunately Jeff was very upset that a few posters were so upset at the thought of our board being invaded by Redskin trolls. You also have to realize that 2 of the worst trolls we had to suffer with in the past were Redskin fans.

I have gone back and posted that this board is quite civil, that they do not have to worry about a troll invasion and that they should come here and check this site out. Unfortunately if they did they choose not to post here. However if there is a problem it is that you are too nice. If you go back, stick with it and if you stay with intelligent comments, you will be greeted. Realize that there are 2 Cowboys fans that are regular posters that are accepted. And we hate the Cowboys much more that the skins. Just don't expect to be treated well until you prove yourselves. For better or worse that's the Philly way. One poster put the comment out "Why do we devour our own" My response was It's because we are so tasty. We don't give slack to Eagles fans so there is less slack given to other teams' fans

My point is that I didn't appreciate the reaction to our guys over there, and I felt the need to point out the irony that Eagles fans were over here at hR basically doing what the other site said would surely occur because of the influx of Skins fans. hR's members shouldn't have been slammed simply because of the actions of some Skins fans that aren't even members of hR. My post wasn't meant as an attack of 2000. It was geared towards those that offered nothing but negativity towards our posters, especially when they did nothing more then say hello.

I could care less what Rush thinks of McNabb because he is clueless about football. I take great issue when he brings race into the conversation. As such I took that you inferred the Eagles fans to be upset because McNabb was black. While I thought their actions were dispicable that day it was not racist, just dumb.

A ditto head is a listener to Rush's program who frequently just call up and say "ditto" to whatever Rush is commenting on to show their agreement.

The thing is guys, that no matter who you play the idea is to win and to say our record is 1-2 but we played this team and our record is 3-1 but we played this team. Horsecrap, this is the NFL guys and no week is a cake walk and to become a good team you need to beat teams whom you should beat and we have done that. That aside who was it that got whopped by NE and who was it that beat NE?

yeah i'm making an ass out of myself-- why don't you read my exchange with rskinsfaan10 under the trotter thread- i basically made him look like he has never seen a football game in his life. and believe me, the bills fans are the ones who looked stupid, that usually happens when another team beats your team or didn't you know the eagles beat the bills?

I have friends who are Bucs fans and Pats fans.....

They are still waiting on eg20 to return to their boards....

The only thing that you are accomplishing here is making yourself look like the total ass that you are. You even have problems getting along with your own Eagle brethren because he wants to talk football and all you want to do is, well talk. sure i know nothing about football. thats why it took you 50 responses to figure out that marvin lewis is not a defensive coordinator anymore... wow football know it all what else can you teach me?
