View Full Version : Does anyone get the call on the two pointer?

Here's why I say this. We know that Ramsey has trouble with his touch passes. Why not do a playaction bootleg? That usually seems to work to a tight end, or Ramsey runs it in. I just don't get a touch pass call when we KNOW that he has trouble with that.

I don't question the call at all. Coles was open. That pass didn't require touch. He just threw it too high

We had not run the ball well at all the entire game. The play was always going to be a pass. And with a rollout, you close yourself off from half the field.

The called play was fine. Coles was open. If Ramsey make a decent throw, the game goes to overtime. Patrick just blew it. The coaches can't do everything.

I question the call the same way I questioned the shotgun multi-WR sets we used in the Giants game in the same situation. I don't like the fact that we show our hand and don't leave much behind to protect Ramsey. I mean, with all the passing we did in the fourth quarter, I bet the Eagles would have been surprised as hell to see us try to run it in.

The play itself I don't question. It's more the formation. NamVet and CarMike might remember me yelling that....

Yup. Nice call. Coles is your money man, and that is where you go, and Ram had him, but didn't make the pass. That is that. No questioning the call here.

It was the perfect call...

The Eagles D basically had 9 clogging the middle, so we couldn't have run it if we wanted to. The corners were the only safe place to throw to. Also...DMC had just come out of the game, so he wasn't available in any crossing routes.

Too bad it was a bad throw. But...w/out Ramsey sticking in there at the end, we wouldnt' have had the opportunity to tie it up.

Where the fu$k was Gardner on that play??? or the rest of the game for that matter??? If DMC was out then we should go to our other Possesion guy. Looking back I don't know why he was ever a 1st round pick. 2nd maybe. more like a 3rd. his head is never in the game and he has more drops than I care to count. I'll give him his props when he hustles but I'll basj him when he deserves it. :smash:

That draft was funny when you look at WR's

in the 1st round: David Terrell-yuck, Koren Robinson-solid wideout, Rod Gardner- solid wideout with some inconsistcies but he'll be ok.

2nd Round: Chris Chambers and Chad Johnson.

Other than that Gardener did stink up the joint. One play he let a CBknock a ball out of his hands, this guy benches over 400 lbs. Another he let a 1st down on the run go right trough his hands. Pathetic.

I will say what everyone else is saying. The call was perect, Coles was open and Ramsey was too pumped and over threw the ball. Don't be too mad at Ram he has and will win us many more games on the same play, he just missed it.

3 catches vs back-ups, 8 catches in the last 3 games. I think you make a valid point. I think we have a problem, just waiting for the rest of the Redskin Nation to figure it out. Non-fans are less impressed than I am.
