In running Trung between the tackles ALL DAY and running Betts on sweeps?!! Where's Trung the last 2 min? He could have caught some balls and make something happen. What's w/ Cartright getting so many calls today? I just don't get it why there calling plays for the wrong personell. :smash:

Where's the thinking in keeping B.Smith in on so many plays? Geez-us! I thought the gameplan the last 2 season was to rotate him?! Upshaw gets pressure and is less of a liablility against the run he needs to get more snaps regardless of penalties. Peppi Zellner needs more snaps too. Everytime one of them makes a play they take em out?!

Thanks R10.

51 passes?! I think we need to start running the ball more and keep Ramsey's decision-making out of the game.

Reminds me of Jacksonville last year.

I think the play calling was pretty pathetic today. Spurrier looked liek he reverted back to last season. If we woudl have kept hammering the ball in the first quarter, i think we would have had a different game. We have to learn to run, run, run, to getthe blitzes put off, then air it out.

One other quick notation, i have noticed that we do not see SS aiuring it deep much. He did last year with horrible Qbs and Wrs, but now that we have a QB that can, and Wrs that can catch, we don't take many shots.

I know Ramsey overthrew on one deep ball to a wide-open Gardener today and I think another to Coles..

I think some of that is due to Ramsey not having enough time, it's tough to say when I don't know what's going on down field w/ Fox's coverage. They got on my last nerves w/ their revolutionary camera-angles. Pathetic.

I hate CBS's inferior effects and camera clarity, but Fox does bug me with that damn hover-cam.

Couldn't agree with you more. I thought that Spurrier did an excellent job in the other games at doing this. However, as we all know Spurrier did not do as good a job in this game.

Yeah, I think SS gave up on the run too early. I think he was entyced with the fact that Philly was missing starting corners.

Only problem is that we couldn't run the ball when we tried!!!!

we needed a spark so IMHO I see nothing wrong with the play selection.

We have to start thinking when the noise level is up and we are false starting all the time to tell Ramsey to run the darn play that is called instead of screwing it up, by changing it and the oline is down too long and jumps

Well, even though you're not getting the yardage you want, you're sending a message to the defense that you will keep trying. If the defense see you give up on the run, then they just sit back and send blitzes all day.

I have to disagree with this. Trung popped a 9yd run, and Betts had one for 6. You can't hit a homerun on every attempt. The problem is we didn't keep their D honest. When you throw the ball 50 times, the D is pretty much sure that they can relax as far as stopping your rushes, because they don't expect to see any. We had a couple of draw plays that got effective yardage also. You cannot throw the ball 50 times when you are having a problem keeping your QB upright.
