Hard to believe how different the offense looked yesterday, especially running to the left side.

27 points?

On Betts TD run you watch how he seals the end and then moves on and chips the LB to give Betts a lane for the score. Beautiful.

You also didn't see Dumervil running crazy in the backfield like you usually do when the Broncos play.

Watching Jones play so well yesterday does bring up the following questions:
1) Is he going to be this good on a regular basis?
2) If so, why didn't we sign this guy in the springtime?
3) Isn't this an indictment of our ability to assess Oline talent?

I love Buges but sometimes I get the feeling that he is so loyal to 'his guys' that he has problems seeing their deficiencies.

You are correct. Dumerville has been running wild on people and I didn't hear his name after 2 minutes into the game.

I hope this is the start of a few years of a good tackle be it right or left. Still hope Samuals can play without endangering himseft to help teach a replacement. Levi did a good job lets hope he stomps Ware this week.

Unflattering as it is to those who have built the current Redskins, this team plays best when it goes back to doing what Joe Gibbs built it to do for four years -- play like a smash-mouth team. And the Redskins are at their worst when they play like a cute, quick West Coast offense, the scheme Zorn knows and got hired to implement, but simply does not have the personnel to execute.

when healthy, levi jones has been a starting Left Tackle inthe nfl.. that is all you need to know

also, reinhart played decently at right guard.

also, heyer had a bad first half, but became more solid inthe second half.. he is better on the right side, without question

rabach had one of his better games at center..

did you notice how many of the good runs were up the middle, between the tackles ? that is a comment on betts, as well as the interior of the line.. they look to be better in simple schemes, as opposed to pulling..

yeah, which is why it befuddled me when cartwright ran outside on that 4th down play. im not really sure if that was designed to go outside or cartwright just got stretched out on the play

He had a recurring back injury and the Bengals let him walk because they didn't want to pay him not to play. He was routinely listed as a desireable free agent for teams to pick up but concerns over his back (both Green Bay and Detroit worked him out and passed) and his desire to start scared people off. If he can stay healthy then he's a very good player.

That play was doomed. One of Denver's LB's filled the gap and forced Rock outside, but they simply called a good D and made the play.

That's how I saw it too. The Broncos completely sold out on the run.

Which brings up my question......

Why do we not run a naked bootleg on the 3rd/4th and very short??? Or, God forbid we let our 6'4" 230lb QB run a QB sneak!!! Are they not in the playbook?!?!

if someone finds me dead on the floor of my house it is likely from screaming myself into a stroke calling for that play.. why indeed can we not run a boot ?? it is simply assinine..

I believe we ran one on the first TD pass to Yoder. If I'm not mistaken, we faked a slant left and rolled Campbell out to the right with two options running parallel. Surprise, both were open.

If I had to bet, Jim Zorn probably made that play call himself going back to his patented stretch play.

It's amazing how bringing in one good player like Levi Jones can instantly improve the entire OL. It just makes me wonder what might have been if Snyderrato had not wasted #1 draft picks on the likes of Carlos "Stonehands" Rogers or Landry - and had used those selections for premiere OL players instead.......
