Millions were spent here. Thomas i have not heard called for penalties, seems to be doing the job we pay him to. Sameusl and Janse, our bookends, and our Line leaders are making stupid penalties. This must stop. I can not believe how much we all talked about having the best Line in the league. The mistakes, jumps, are just incredible. We need Fiore back. Dockery showed today he needs more practice and instruction.

Secondly, these guys owe Patrick Ramsey an apology. The kid got beaten up today, as they just all stood there shaking ther eheads.

Pathetic. Randy Thomas is a stud. The rest of the line absolutely stinks. Those tackles sound like Norv Turner every week w/ their excuses. Pathetic.

Actually, I have not heard Larry Moore called for too many penalties either.

There is a serious problem in the communications that's going on at the line and somebody needs to find the root of it. I'm not letting the linemen off the hook here but I think something is flawed with what Spurrier is trying to do at the line. Maybe his audibles are too complex and need to be simplified. Maybe there's too much language in getting the audible called. Reduce it then. I think he needs to take a hard look at the communication required at the line. Maybe Ramsey is talking to soft and the calls aren't getting to Jansen and Samuels. Just my opinion.

It's hard to believe Ramsey could yell any louder, he's hoarse after every game.

I don't know Joe, maybe we need a mic on his helmet. I mean, I just don't get it. Other teams don't have this problem and yet we do.

I can't buy that it's Ramsey's yelling when I can hear him on TV.

We have to figure it out and let them know because they aren't figuring it out.

We could start with ousting Kim Helton

Seriously, i think Mike is right. Jansen and Samuels have been solid every year they have been here, relatively mistake free as well. Something is going on this year. Look at Moore. He is turned around half the time looking at Ramsey looking as if he is lost.

I'm still holding the line responsible.

Truthfully... Ramsey himself looked lost on several occasions... and I know it wasn't the immense volume of the Eagle's fans (despite what they wills ay... I was there!).

I think Spurrier needs to adjusat some things... Ramsey has WAY too much going on in his head for a second year QB. It needs to be simplified!

Yes, Skinz make it simple. Don't give the kid too much to do.

I could be wrong, but I think the penalties are much more common when Ramsey is calling an audible. His audibles have been fairly disastrous this season. On one sack in the Eagles game he held the ball far too long. He also just does not see the blitz at all.

As far as I know, Samuels and Jansen are not injured. I just find it hard to believe that both of them are taking the year off. I think something more complicated is going on.

Okay, let's start there folks. We get more penalties (false starts) when we audible. How do we correct it. Stop audibling? Will that work considering Spurrier's offense?

No. Audibile IS Spurrier offense. If you are goign to do away with the audibles then you are doing away with the Spurrier syetem.

What Spurrier needs to do is commit to run, get the defense back, and come up with schemes to protect the blitz.

The thing makes me think it's the system is that most of the false starts happen when nobody else (on offense or defense) is moving. I would blame the player if they kept jumping before the rest of the team, but that hasn't really been the case.

We've seen Spurrier commit to the run before but it didn't help in reducing the penalties. He does need to develop better protection schemes.
