The latest Post article alludes to the fact that Spurrier is considering a Line shakeup, possibly bringing Lennie Friedman in at LG and moving Dave Fiore to Center. Article recognizes and commends Randy Thomas as the only Redskisn offensive lineman who hgas not commited a false start. Taking a look as well, Thomas has only given up one sack, by far he has been worth the money. Matter of fact, all the Jets have been worth it.
Coudl a line shakeup be what we need?

Has Moore played that poorly i really hadnt noticed.I thought Dockery was only playing b/c Fiore's knee was bothering him.Would he be any better at C.I know he played that in SF but didnt he sign here b/c he preferred to play LG.And shouldn't the shakeup be with the tackles their committing all the penalties.Oh yeah, we dont have any back up tackles worth mentioning.

Randy Thomas' play so far this year is a perfect example that it is the players themselves. All that garbage about Jansen paying attention to the clock and all is BS. If these guys would do their job and concentrate on what they are paid to do, this wouldn't be a problem. Unreal.
I'm all for a shakeup.

Yeah, he said he's looking at demotions and promotions. What does that do for Ramsey's health?

I am not sure I would say Morton has been worth the money but Hall,Coles and Thomas are as of right now

Morton hasn't broken one yet, however I still think we are better of than we were a year ago.
I think if you sit a player down a series or two it will work. They are going to be embarrased and will eventually straighten up.

Interesting about the Friedman angle, he played well in preseason ... but how does a change in center help with the illegal procedure penalties? Has Moore been doing something that has complicated it for the tackles?
And Morton ... I think that it hasn't been demonstrated that he isn't worth the money yet ... but I do think its been demonstrated that the special teams coaching isn't ... nobody not Morton or the Chief's Hall is going to have much luck without a good blocking scheme for the return ... and execution by at least most of the other guys ... I wouldn't blame the lack of many long KO returns on Morton ... and punt returning was never his claim to fame ... at least he hold onto the ball ... I'm thankful for that

Imagine if you were the second string tackle ... you must be feeling like you REALLY REALLY SUCK ... I'd have sent a message to Jansen and Samuels with a little bench time by now ... I guess they have so little confidence in their back-ups that they (the coaches) won't even put them in for a play or two to deliver a message

Moore continues to jerk his head and look back at Ram which may be throwing things off. I don't get that. He never did that last season. I think a shake up in the OLine will be helpful, as well as, an unstated statement saying, you may be next. Friedman did play well, actually very well during pre-season. This will be a nice move i bet.
Morton? Hmmmm. He is averaging 21.3 yard per return, Betts averaged 24.6 last season.

I thought I saw the fingers on his right hand taped this weekend, is this a normal thing for centers or is there an injury?
Also, didn't some of the linemen complain that their penalties were the result of him muffing the snap?

which is why I don't think he is worth the money right now and it has very little to do with him. We could have had a undrafted rookie be a returner and not get any blocking and have the same numbers Morton does for a heck of a lot less money...Justin Skaggs comes to mind...been a while since I mentioned his name

Morton has been woth the money too. Look at our avg. field position this year vs. last year. A line shakeup is exactly what we need. No offense to Moore but I've haven't been impressed with him. Dockery is clearly not ready, I think he'll be a good gaurd at some point but not now. I want to see some HOG action!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see centers do that all the time. Funny, Manning was audibling alot last night and you didn't see them false start.

The colts have communication down to an art. It was clockwork in hostile environment and all. I wish we could get our offense running like that.

I agree....
I started counting the number of Manning audibles last night. He did 13 as of the start of the 3rd quarter, and only once did the line jump offsides. (And that was a rookie TE)
The simple fact that Thomas has not jumped offsides tells you that it isn't all Ramsey's fault. Obviously someone is doing it right.
Last night on the Steve Spurrier Radio show, the Ball Coach pretty much spelled out what their audible system is. It is simply a color system, that isn't terribly confusing to master. The line already knows the snap count. (that doesn't change)...but when he gets to the line, Ramsey would call out a color and that would change the play. (and one of the colors means NO CHANGE)

I've said it all season it is Samuel's and Jansen and the o-line.We need #1 a new line coach#2a top notch backup tackle and #3 an NFL starting quality C.Our line was so bad last year that these improvement's were not enough and Jansen and Samuels are living off their reputations right now nothing more.SS calling audibles is not our problem the player's execution is.

How many years has Manning and Colts been running this "audible offense"
i've seen countless ESPN host criticise them too (when their losing)......THAT'S IT!! THAT'S IT!! WOW, I just figured out when you win everybody loves what you do when or lose everybody knows why and what you do is wrong!

I wouldn't move Moore. I haven't seen anything to justify that move. As far as his actions within the shotgun offense, I believe that this past week was the first time that they actually went with the "lift the leg" silent count. It is not something that can be perfected in one week of practice.

Skinswinem, that's why I keep saying the Colts' offense is probably the most similar to ours in the league. They, however, have a lot of experience with it.
