Seeing as how betts and Canidate didn't do much against the eagles, shouldn' t we have seen a little of Sultan Mc??? He a larger more powerfull runner. There were holes on sunday I just think Betts and Trung had problems hitting them; something which is Sultan's specialty. Comments?

Sultan is smaller then both Betts and Canidate.

Wonder if Sultan was even active for that game.

Spurrier never committed to the run he came out throwing and we got so far behind doing it we had to keep throwing.

you can't blame Trung and ladell if the oppurtunities are not there.

The way our line has been blocking, they have been doing exceptionally well.

Sorry guys, my mistake, I thought Sultan was bigger than Betts and Trung.

I don't see us running too well against Tampa. Not without our ol' back Stephen Davis. Interestingly, Indianapolis showed you can really pass on Tampa if you can give your quarterback the time he needs. Of course, that's a big if, but I guarantee you everyone else in the league noticed how the Colts passed up and down the field on the Bucs.

Our WR corps are just as good as the Colts'. I hope our o-line gets their act together. Will the game be at FedEx Field?

The key to passing well against the Bucs has always been protection time. Unfortunately, that's something few teams in the league can manage.

I dont blame Betts or Trung. The running game was NEVER given an opportunity. On sunday, David first 11 carries netted him 31 yards, yet he rushed for over 125 again. Spurrier simply caved on the run.

PSF, you do have to realize that the Eagles are #1 in the league in run defense, #31 in pass defense, and were playing with an utterly depleted secondary. I really don't blame Spurrier for going pass-heavy. The thing I fault him for is not adjusting to more of a max protect scheme to give Ramsey time to hit our recievers.

We ran running plays w/ the wrong personal the whole game. I noticed Trung carrying all the between tackle calls and Betts running a sweep or two?! To top it off Rock Cartwright is suddenly our 3rd feature back?! Geez how many carries did he have?

I still can't believe some of you don't notice Trung hitting holes hard and falling forward almost everyplay?!?! There's a lot of implying going around here as if the wind gets credit ofr tackiling him. C'mon guy's you can't tell me I'm seeing things.

The colts were successful passing after the defense was worn out and couldn't get pressure. Note to Spurrier wear them out on the ground in the 1st half and burn'em in the air in the 2nd. They might wear early considering they're on a short week and they played a long time last night. Crossing my fingers.

The best thing, E8, is that Spurrier's adapted so much to the NFL that there's a good chance he'll actually do that.

What worries me is that there's also a good chance he'll obsess over the last four minutes of regulation in that game and figure he can just do what the Colts did there and air it out with the same scheme. That definitely won't work.

Also remember the Colts used a little misdirection on most of their passing plays. Manning didn't just drop back.

spurrier mentioned something about not running the ball enough during the eagles game in the post today. he basically said that 50 passes was too much and if that attributed to ramsey getting beat up, then he will try to be more balanced. he said run more first and then protecting better will help Ramsey.
