If you don't have a dog in the race already for the playoffs, remember to root for the Saints to make it to the Super Bowl. If that is the case, Vilma will not play in the Pro Bowl and London Fletcher is next in line.
GO SAINTS! Especially if it's them vs. the 'Pukes in the NFC Championship

I know it'll be London's first PB but I don't know how I (or he for that matter) feel about him getting in as a "Second Fiddle". I guess going is better than not going lol.

From a recent interview, I think he'll take it any way he can. He is a legit 1st alternate and if the records were reversed (Skins 14-2, Saints 4-12) he would be going.

i'd love to see fletcher get to the pro bowl, but i have an 80 year old uncle who has been a viking fan in the twin cities for as long as they have been around.he always pulls for the skins when they are'nt playing the vikings,so
i'm gonna return the favor cause i'd love to see the vikings win it all 1 time before he pops the mortal coil.gotta go with the vikes from here on out, sorry guys!

For me its Colts,Vikes,Cards…I just don't want the boys or the saints getting the ticket and going.

Definitely. I think everyone here will root for them considering if they lost and Dallas won the nfc championship would be in Dallas and not New Orleans.
Who Dat????? GO SAINTS!!!!

I can't root for any other team except the Skins. I don't really root for players as a consolation prize... now, I just want the Cowpukes to lose.

if it ever came down to nfc east teams other than the skins,no matter who won i would'nt consider pulling for them!i hate the cowboys, but i hate the eagles and giants damn near equally!

London has deserved to go for awhile...doesnt matter who is in the playoffs...but it would be great to see him finally get to the ProBowl.

he'd probably want to go as a starter and not an alternate,in my view.

I will be making the 8 hour drive late Thursday/ early Friday morning with a buddy. Can't wait to get to Miami (never been), and I'm pumped Fletch will be there! Like usual, my trip will be documented on Facebook (sorry about the Jets Falcons game, my buddy never uploaded them). Hopefully my buddy brings a camera (I don't have one). NSF pics possibly too? :P

Very happy for London cause of this. He is very deserving of pro bowl status for sure. Truly a great team player.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy he's going and all, but it kind of loses the luster a bit when you go as a replacement.
He really deserves to go based on his abilities, not because the Saints made it to the Super Bowl.

10 years from now no one will care.

I think at this stage in your career, you take it as a blessing and you Thank God. To me there is no * on this one because she should have gone years ago - based on results and not a "popularity" contest.

Would be sweet if he wins the MVP of the pro bowl to prove the voters wrong

Looks like Fletcher doesn't care how he got in so why should any of us. I'm happy for the man. This is obviously one of the best things to happen to him during his pro career and I'm glad he'll be representing us in the Pro Bowl!

"It makes it even better to be playing not with just a teammate but to be playing with one of my fellow linebackers," Fletcher said. "We'll be out there enjoying the Pro Bowl festivities together."

It doesn't bother me in the slightest, he's more than earned it for many years now. I'm just saying it sucks a little bit that even now he didn't get in on the first ballot so to speak, especially now that so many others are withdrawing and it will gain more and more attention in the media.
This year is the most convoluted Pro Bowl ever, and I suspect some changes will be in order for the coming years. I just wish he would get what he rightfully deserves, which is to be elected as a starter for the NFC, but like everyone else, I'm happy he's going in any capacity.
I hope my comments weren't misinterpreted, I have nothing but the utmost repect for his leadership and abilities and I think we as Redskin fans understand better than anyone (other than the Buffalo contingent) exactly what he brings to the table. To me, he's almost the Art Monk of LB's. Yeah, I said it. I just wish he'd been here his whole career.
Congrats to LBF, if we had 53 of you we'd never lose.

Finally being given his due is nice to see. Fletcher has deserved this for a long time.
