Maybe I'm still pining for the Tarantula (RIP #21), but there are some mocks that have Eric Berry available with Suh, McCoy and Okung going 1-2-3. I know Shanahan is an offensive coach, but everyone says Eric Berry is special. Any chance the Skins take him rather than a QB or the next best OT?

Man, I can help but think how good the D would have been with #21 at FS and Landry at SS.

If Shanny wants to stick with Campbell then yes they sould take Berry if the draft goes SUH, McCoy, Okung. If not then they have to take Clausen or Bradford.

God I hope the take Clausen over Bradford if they go QB.

i think we will have the option of either Bradford or Clausen

we dont need to take another Safety that high.. as good as Berry can be, we would be fine with a player like Sharper.. look what he has brought to the Saints ?
that is the type of player we need for our defense..it will take Berry several years for the light to come on for the pro game..

for a clue as to what the Rams plan to do, watch what they do in March in free agency.. if they go after a guy like Delhomme, then i dont think they are taking a QB at #1..

if they dont take a QB, then we will have both Clausen and Bradford to choose between

We all know how much we need to improve the O-Line. However, if there are questions about the worthiness of the O-Line prospects at 4, then I wouldn't be upset about Eric Berry. He has legitimate Pro Bowl potential. Did the 49ers regret taking Ronnie Lott? The Ravens and Ed Reed? Yes, we have many holes to fill, but it would be hard to walk past an almost certain pro Bowler unless we already had one at that position.
