I am not sure how many of you follow Daniel Jeremiah on Twitter @movethesticks. He was a scout with Baltimore and Cleveland over the last several years. Now he is blogging and twittering great NFL game and scouting info.

He said Iupati was the most impressive player on the field day1. I know many of you are big on Iupati and so am I. Good info. Maybe a player to watch for draft day. Seems he is moving up the board. I dont see Skins going OG at #4, way to early. But maybe a great trade back target for us???

Anybody know how he would fit Shanny' s blocking schemes?

hes probably going to be drafted mid 20s imo. as he is a guard/rt

As much as I've heard about this guy, it almost seems like it's worth trading up for him. If we're going to get the quarterback, we might as well get what has the potential to be one of the nastiest offensive lineman the draft has seen in a while.

However he'd have to be a guard because I've heard that they moved him out to tackle a few times in college (and maybe at the Senior Bowl) and he struggled, but that he's just an amazing prospect at guard.

this guy just physically looks fearsome. i'd love to have a guy with some character like this on our line.

and uh, plus, he seems to be doing pretty well :)

i am not sure, maybe because OG is not most important position on the OL, much less the field. But why would a team hesitate to take a OG this dominant high up in the draft. like in first 10 picks?

If he is going to be as good as it seems he will. Why not take him at #4 if he fills a need and could be the next Hutchinson or Faneca

because the impact difference between an average guard and a dominant guard isn't as large as an average OT/QB/DE/LB vs an elite player from the same position.

Seems like Vikes were willing to throw huge money at Hutch and it paid off. Seems like Hawks suffered after losing him??

I dont disagree with you though. It just seems like if you can almost guarantee a hit on this guy Iupati, and someone like Okung may or may not be such a lock. Why not go Iupati? The upper draft is all about picking a 109 yr starter?

CNNSI (Don Banks) has Iupati going to Cowgirls. Say it aint so. Just another reason to think about him.

In all truth I would love to see us fall back 8-10 spots and take this guy. Would even be worth it to just pick up a high #2 rounder IMO

+1. Hutchinson got $, but so did journeyman Dockery. And no matter what a player like Hutchinson, while good, can't keep speed rushers off his qb like a LT. The player can upgrade a line (see how the Jets have improved this year) but can't be an impact, game changing player like a qb, etc. Hopefully we won't have a shot at a top 5 pick for a while after this year so let's not concentrate on a player whose impact is on a very limited part of the field, and that must have 4 other superior individuals around him to not be bypassed in game planning.

hes probably going to be drafted mid 20s imo. as he is a guard/rtAccording to Mike Mayock this guy can play all 5 positions but is a natural LG. Problem is we have Dock at LG, we need to see how he would adjust to RG. also Mayock says he hold ALOT, and in the Senior Bowl I saw that. That being said if he is somehow there at 37 then we pounce and I would be overjoyed.

I read in more than one place that he really struggled at LT and even at some of the 1-1's. During the game he was flagged for one hold but I understand he got away with quite a few more. In the end he's still clearly the best OG and is a great run blocker who will need work in his pass protections.

that is exactly what i read-- that he lacks the movement skills for Tackle but that he held on so many plays that it was ridiculous..

I think he is a pure guard. O Lineman usually kick inside from college to the pro's, not vice versa. I also think he is a pure roadgrader like Faneca was coming out.

Nothing wrong with that. He probably played himself into the mid to late first round just in the senior bowl. I don't know if he plans on going to the combine or not, but that would really only help improve his stock.
