According to the Wash Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A58194-2003Oct7.html)

Hopefully he provides us that pass catching TE we've been looking for. I also hope he helps in providing Ramsey with protection.

Hmmm.... An overweight tight end who doesn't really know the offense being put into the game when he really shouldn't be. I predict a lot more false starts.

Not knowing the system - hmmmmm - IF he can starts moving before the ball is hiked, he'll know our system.

You can tell the tone of the article and preceding comments, the staff is really high on Chamberlain and really believe he willeb a boost to the offense where we needed it. Any word on his blocking abilities?

I found once interesting quote from our TE coach that he adds a great dimension to our two TE sets. We have two TE sets?????

Chamberlain si an excellent receiving TE and is going to get his share of catches this season. I think he will become a new Spurrier toy to fool aroun dwith. He will be an extra dump off soruce for Ram as well, but I really think they need to stay our of these foru WR sets and keep an extra person in to block.

Hopefully you are right regarding our new TE's successful role in the future, PSF. The article mentions Chamberlain as a great goal line area tool to use. Seems like we've been fine inside the redzone this year without a 'solid' TE. Who knows, just don't want touches taken away from Coles or Gardner especially if its kinda 'outside' of the established Spurrier offense.

I would like to take half of Gardners touches away...the ones he drops :D:D:D Can we start calling him 50/50 again

Sure, all the coaches are going to express optimism over a new player. I doubt anything will come of it. But I love players who prove me wrong.

He's had34,57,22,32 catches the last 4 years. Thats better than 6 catches over 5 games from our current/ former tight ends. I just hope he can block!

Yeah those are nice stats. But those were on teams he went to training camp with. Especially Spurier's 'intense audible system'.

Atleast he played in Minnesota where they also liked to throw the ball.So hopefully he can pass block well. Also i think he can definately help at the goal line we have kicked far to many field goals and had the ball within a few yards of scoring.I feel that it will be an instant upgrade over flemister and Royals and one more guy you have to cover if your playing on D.

I guess we'll see this weekend, eh. I'd rather see him in blocking for Ramsey but that's me.
