well, looks like the yearly insanity is beginning.. the Titans signed impending Free Agent G, Eugene Amano to a 25 Million Dollar, 5 year deal.. this is per www.profootballtalk.com

at least 10-12 million of that is guaranteed..

Steve Neal, of the Pats will be allowed to test free agency.. so that should be interesting.. and apparently, Dansby will be allowed to test it as well..Got you wallet ready, Snyder ?? Check with Shanahan first, please, but those two guys represent two key offseason needs for the Redskins, and would lessen the pressure on our 5 person draft class...

I hope we can get Dansby. A shame Amano is already locked up.

aren't they just about ALWAYS exciting ??

problem is that they have seldom, if ever, carried over into the regular season in recent years.. let's hope this one is different that way..

Amano is a good young player and considering Dockery got $18+ guarnateed from Buffalo, that is a steal of a signing.

Sticking with Tennesse, Bulluck (LB) is also a free agent. He's coming off knee surgery and has been weakside for them, but he's a tackling machine and maybe because of his age might come slightly cheaper.

Rocky wasnt the same player the first year back from ACL..Bullock is high risk that way..he WAS a great player

Certainly his age is against him coming off an injury but in 14 games last year he had 108 tackles and 3 int's. He's always been a very blue collar player and I bet he bounces back from this just fine. In some respets he reminds me a lot of Fletcher.

Well Mawae is saying that he is going to test free agency. hes 49! But do we bring him in? Stop gap for a year until we draft more linemen? I think he would still be better than Rabach.

light years better than rabach.. add Neal or Hamilton at Guard, Mawae at center, draft someone like Campbell, Black, Jones who falls into the top of the second round, and we have instantly stability for the O line if we add Jones, Tra Thomas or Pashos at right tackle

we STILL have to add youth later in the draft, but the line would be solid at both pass and run blocking

we could draft Bradford at the top of the draft and not fear for his life later inthe year or... if he gets snagged before we pick, would take a player like Berry or McCoy if he slides to us (someone is going to have to drop if Bradford is taken before we pick)

i would be worried about Fletcher also, if he was coming off an ACL repair next year.. that is my only concern over Bullock-- he wont be the same player for a while

I am starting to like the idea of Mawae at center for a year while we develop a 6th or 7th rounder to come in. The line calls and leadership alone would make our entire unit better 2 times over.

Man, I just noticed I said he was 49....i meant his age is 39. Old but not too many injury problems.

From the looks of his age, theres no way he gets a huge contract right? How much can we bring him in for? He would turn down Vet minimum in a second, IMO.

Arent we developing Edwin Williams at C? i thought he was a decent prospect coming out of college, but think we tried to plug him in at G and T...they probably wanted to try him at LB too...idiots haha

he is a project... hopefully he develops during the offseason.. more a G, than a center.. and we have no clue how he fits into Shanny's blocking schemes

On a similar note, what happens to players who have contracts that extend into and past 2011 and there is no CBA and there is a lockout? Do they get any money? No pay, reduced, etc?
