Another nailbitter .....man my fingers are starting to hurt.
17-14 keeping it close.

Will we try to learn anything from the Colts and the way the came back late in the fourth quarter? How did they pick that Defense apart late in the game?

Maybe the bucs played that vaunted prevent defense?

No, the problem is they didn't play the prevent. The prevent is only useful in situations when one team is up by an absurd number of points and the only possible way for the other team to come back is several long bombs and onside kicks. Tampa didn't run it, and Marvin Harrison got to go one-on-one with a safety in the Cover 2 while the Bucs couldn't maintain a pass rush anymore due to tired linemen.

Memo To Team:

Spurrier, call Tony Dungy and get his game plan.

Ramsey, call Peyton Manning and ask him his secrets on calling audibles.

Well the last time we played them it was a win that's typical of this year's team if anyone remembers. That's a game I'll never forget. Stephen running wild, the defense shutting down what was a strong Bucs running game, Champ holding Keyshawn to 1 catch for 1 yard and DIEON winning the game with his punt return that set up a chip shot for our 3rd kicker of the year.

Just because other teams have injuries isn't any excuse to not focus on all aspects of the game. We will have problems. We have to get some points. With the Bucs having injuries they will have more problems scoring............unless their defense scores. This is all void anyway because we have had probles scoring in the past games. Maybe this will be the game where we surprise everyone.

I hope...............

This game is shaping up to be a war of words during the week. Once game time comes it is going to be a war of actions.
Who wants it the most and who can execute the best. This game to me is becoming the most exciting one.
LET'S GET IT ON!!!!!!!!!!

Some of the so called experts think the longer Tampa's defense is on the field, the more vulnerable they become. I would say that was evident monday night.

Actually...I believe I heard Ramsey and Manning hung out once or twice in the off-season. I'msure Ramsey looks at Manning as a mentor, since they have similar personalities on (and off) the field.

But I guess they didn't talk "audibles".! ha ha

Like a lot of us, I can't wait for this game.
Hey Coach -
Run the ball in the begining - a lot !
Stretch the defense - a lot !
Dink and Dunk where you need it !
AND everybody heads up on the audibles - do it !

Unfortunately, Patrick Ramsey is no Peyton Manning. He just does not have Peyton's experience. Every time the Bucs blitzed, Peyton saw it coming from a mile away. Of course, they didn't blitz all that often because teams know Peyton will make them pay for it. Ramsey has not proven the ability to do anything like that.

actually, i heard a reporter on 980 this morning ask ramsey if he was going to call his buddy peyton manning to ask what to do ask the bucs defense and patrick said that he didnt want to bother peyton about because he knew he has a lot to do to prepare for his game this weekend......i hope he changes his mind and picks up the phone!

It is my understanding that you play to the Buc's strength when you run outside and keep the play in front of the linebackers and safeties. This is when they can use their speed and pursuit. Dungy was effective with the passes downfield.

The ball coach will know how to attack the defense. I wonder if Jacobs will get increased playing time over Gardner. We may need more speed if the pass rush is heavy. I don't think Jacobs will start, but he may be put in more often.
