I really would have loved to see it come to Richmond or Va Beach. Maybe next year...

I wouldn't count on it. The Redskins and Loudoun Co agreed on a partnership last year and I'm sure that weighed heavily in this decision. Besides, VA Beach already has the Redskins Beach Blast every year. Richmond already gets all our tax money :p .

So says the guy who lives only a few miles from Redskins Park. ;)
Must be nice. I was just hoping to cut down on my commute to camp this year. lol

Va Beach made a push a couple of years ago for the Skins to move to the Virginia Beach Sportsplex, but their facilities weren't fully up to what the Skins needed. I'm hoping that they're able to make the improvements and bring the team closer to me, but I am obviously biased in this regard.

I haven't had the time to attend the last two years, since they only opened the morning sessions to the crowd. Hopefully, they will start opening the evening sessions back up again. I really want to see what has changed with this new regime.

They don't do beach blitz anymore. The last time was two years ago.

That sucks, I wonder why. Didn't they do some cruise ship thing last year or the year before? That's a sorry alternative if that is the case.

Richmond is only 3 1/2 hours from my house. Va. Beach is about the same distance to Ashburn, but it's at the beach. :)

I frankly couldn't care less about local fan access when it comes to camp. Priority No. 1 is getting the Skins as ready as possible for the season. I'm of the opinion that happens best when a team gets away from distractions for a few weeks.

I agree 100%, the team gets away from distractions of home & its also much more fan friendly up there IMO.
