Here is a interesting article I found... These deals could very well happen and though the super bowl might be a stretch I think the play offs aren't! What do yall think?

I think you are underestimating the current Redskins. We're more like a dynasty. :)

Dynasty? Like that show that was also good in the '80s? :)

Without even reading the article, I can tell you how the Redskins can go to Super Bowl XLV...

They purchase the tickets on Ebay like every other fan. They can probably get a cheap flight through Orbitz too...

I met with my commander yesterday and he said that since his military career started 28 years ago, every place he's been in saw their hometown team go to the super bowl. Now, he lives in the DC area. I did the odds and assuming he loosely defines which year they went, that's still a 1:224 chance. If he's stricter, that's a 1:448 chance.

Snyder prefers naming his own price

First step: Al Queda kidnaps the Saints, Vikings and Packers
Second step: Cowboys and Giants' entire starting lineups framed for kiddie porn

Plausible...

I assumed the title of this thread was a trick question. To which the answer is "no."

Would they really have to be framed? :devil1:

I read the article, it's all fine and dandy...assuming we stay injury free and I just don't see Denver biting on MKelly and a 2011 1st round pick for BMarsh.

I think that the writer forgot the trade that Seattle gives the Skins their 2# 1's for fat albert and the Ratbirds trade Gaither for Campbell.:)

Maybe I'm young and naive but I really think we can turn this thing around and get to the playoffs this season... look at what the dolphins were able to accomplish a couple seasons ago

Anything is possible, but things like the Dolphins a few years back and the Rams in 1999 are the exception rather than the rule. More 4-12 teams are sub .500 the next season. Many more. In fact, almost all of them. Especially when they don't fix their problems that led to them going 4-12 the year before (OL, FS, etc).

Disagree. The Skins clearly fixed their lack of a NT with only one functioning Achilles. I'd argue that was what kept the team from being 11-5 or 12-4 in '09.

Maybe the rest of the league will go on strike and the skins will refuse thus paving the way to an easy superbowl victory which because of lack of an opponent is composed entirely of commercials.

we can fill those holes with the 4 picks we have in the draft.. (not to mention the picks we could get through trades)

Seriously, when have we ever filled 4 holes in the draft? And with what picks?

For every Chris Horton we trip into, I can show you 3 or 4 Eddie Williams, Cody Glenn, Robert McCune, Manny White, et al type of players. Different coaches, same scouts, same results.

Just trying to have a positive outlook on things.. we might not go anywhere but hey anything can happen

+1

we're going to need to recoup some picks from Campbell, Landry, Carter and Haynesworth(or fill immediate needs with them as trade bait).

Right now, I would list our priority needs as:
Left Tackle
Right Tackle
OLB
ILB
NT(assuming Haynesworth is gone)
FS(either Landry or Horton will be the Strong Safety).

Signing Flozell Adams(ugh) and drafting a day 1 starter at LT at #4 takes care of those needs, but we still need help on the defense. Assuming one of the other 3 picks might contribute in day 1 seems plausible, but thats about it unless Shanny hits a home run in the draft. If we can get 2-3 picks for Campbell, Carter and Haynesworth, then we're obviously in better shape.

I don't think Brandon Marshall is necessary, our receivers are fine. If the OL gets fixed, I think we will be in the playoffs.

Nothing good will come of a Flozell signing. The Gods won't allow it.

They don't need to do anything else to win Superbowl XLV they have it locked up. Furthermore this makes them the winningest off season champions of all time :)
