Of course I'm completely biased and will readily admit that, but if Jason White leads OU to a national championship, and plays anywhere close to as well as he has been ... he may get the heismann and the attention of scouts.

Current Stats:
112/116 (67.5), 1472 yards, 16 TDs, 3 INTs, QB Rat - 170

He is currently fourth on ESPN's Heismann Watch (http://espn.go.com/ncf/heisman/).

If he does win the Heisman, his draft status will still probably be a little iffy. Manning, Losman and Roethlisberger (if he comes out) are better QB's.

I agree. He could creep to a late first rounder to mid second rounder if scouts like his arm strength, etc. When he is healthier, he can be a very mobile QB which many people don't realize, but having torn both his knees in the past couple years, his draft stock will probably be hurt by injury concerns.

What about Navarre? I think he will get early consideration due to his size. He looks like a good pocket passer.

He's pretty accurate when his blockers give him time .. but does he have the arm strength? I'm not sure .. I've only gotten to see Michigan play a couple times this year.

Just as an update .. if you click that link I posted above White has been #1 on ESPN's Heismann watch for a few weeks. To be honest .. it's more due to OU's offensive line and wide receiver corps .. but he's still a hell of a ball player.

Hard to get a gauge on your QB's accuracy when your RB carries 51 times in one game!

Chris Perry is a gamer! 51 carries, 219 yards vs. Michigan State. No wonder State didn't win, they couldn't get the ball back!

But here is his line so far:

CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA TD INT
2003 8-2 200 347 2494 57.6 7.2 19 8

Michigan doesn't really attack the deeper parts of the field. They are a play action oriented passing attack, so 57% completion is indicative of less than desired accuracy, IMO, for the type of attack they run.

I don't see Jason White going very high at all. He's had 2 knee injuries and surgeries while at OU maybe 3rd round. I just don't see a team taking a risk on him in the first 2 rounds with his shaky knees.

I'd be very surprised if Jason White was taken in the first day, and would not be shocked if was a late round pick, 6th or 7th.
