The FS from UM is a beast! If we didn't need so much help on the DL, I'd be all for the Skins moving up int he 1st round and pick him up. He will be a star on Sundays.

Yeah I think he might be better then Roy Williams and I actually wouldn't mind drafting him.

BigCountry, would you take himover a DT or DE? Just wondering....I don't think I would right now. Perhaps if Dalton and Martin have a better 2nd half of season we can do that in the first and then look for help on the DL in the second round and later...

Depends who's there. At this point I might consider taking him over a DT (discluding Starks, Harris, Wilfork) but Taylor is probably the only player who would influence my decision that way. That's because at this point it would be hard to pass over a talent like Sean Taylor to reach for a tackle. Pollack and Will Smith might change that however.

I think Sean Taylor is the best defensive player in the nation. I'm astonished by his speed, and also by how he steps it up in big situations. Taking over the FSU game on Saturday was one of the more dominating performances you can see in football.

I couldn't agree more. I said before the season that we'll be wondering if the guy is human and right now I'm not sure I can answer that question.

Butch Davis is looking real damn good right now as a coach and this has nothing to do with what he's done with the Browns.

I wanted Taylor from the get-go and haven't once looked back. Even with the allegations last summer, I still would draft Taylor again.

Ah yes but look for the "Players to Watch" thread posted by a certain someone before Taylor's last year and college. To think come spring time the mods had to merge and endless amount of threads named "Taylor is a beast".

Could you imagine what would have been if we picked Kellen Winslow Jr.? HAHA

I'm impressed with many of your predictions on Taylor before we drafted him! Can you guys get Vinny and the FO to get us some D and O line help and depth?
PLEASE??

I became a hardcore draft addict (and new member of Hailredskins.com!) that off-season. From everything I studied I knew we absolutely had to pick this guy.

On overall Big boards for the draft, everyone had Eli Manning as the concensus top pick; however, he was never considered to be the best player or most likely to not be a bust. That player was Sean Taylor. From Mel Kiper to internet mock drafts, Taylor was thought to be a sure-fire lock to be a great NFL player. There were no doubts that his game would transfer just fine into the NFL. Actually, the one player besides him that I, along with many others, felt was also a lock for Pro-Bowl player was K2. Go figure.

On the days, hours, and even moments leading up to our pick I was hoping we would pick Taylor. I remember the commish coming up to the podium and even then I thought we were going to pick K2. Whew!! When they called Sean Taylor's name, me and my brother jumped up and got hype like the 'skins had just scored a TD or something. Thats how much we felt like winners that day.
