Halo Reach Beta

Halo Junkies - any of you guys fooled around with the Beta? Quite a few differences compared to halos of the past. I can get down with the loadouts and new weapons, but the grenade impact/melee system is still giving me fits as I try to get used to it.

I've been playing since April 29th. I like almost all the changes, but they need to change the grenade blast radius.



Elites are so fun they should be illegal.

I'm passing on this. I popped in Halo 3 the other day because... well, I don't really know, but anyway, I hated it. It may have to do with the fact that I have probably played waaaaaay too much Modern Warfare 2, which I also now abhor :)

I think that I'll focus on my extensive backlog of games before I even consider this. Bayonetta > Beta

I've played only a couple of games. It seems like it's going to be a lot of fun. Everything is going to be tweaked endlessly as Bungie gets more feedback, so I wouldn't sweat the details like grenades. This is still an unfinished game.

I haven't played since they added Invasion mode to the playlist, though, and I hear that's quite a bit of fun. I might try it out.

On a side note, I also tried out Halo 3 again a few months ago, and didn't care too much for it. It's hard to jump back into these types of games after you've stopped playing for a while, as it becomes pretty difficult to compete w/ the guys who never quit.

Reach has a lot of potential. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Yea I'm with you. No more Halo for me. I got rid of #3 shortly after it came out.

I love the elites, If spartans had dodge its all i would use.

I also hate the people who just want to play slayer no matter the game type. Go to the arena and have at it, don't screw up my invasion game!


And I loooooooove the Needle Rifle.

The New grenade launcher is the best addition. No one ever seems to value it or make it a point to get it. Its incredibly effective once you get the hang of it.

Love the game, I wish they had more ranked options though. I'd like to have a ranked team objective.

Legendary solo is a total *****. I did get through it though.
