Well I just saw Chris Samuels totally miss a block and leave Robert Royal alone blocking Simion Rice. Result: Sack and fumble recovered by Bucs. At what point are we going to have to say enough is enough with this guy.

Not many players can contain Simeon Rice for an entire game.

Samuels is doing fine. When they bring 7 guys and we have 6 blocking one will get to Ram.

Its not that he didn't contain him, HE DIDN'T EVEN SEE HIM!!!!!!
He just missed his assignment. If he got beat fairly I'd atleast understand because Rice is going to make his plays but just to totally not even know where he was going is bad.
That wasn't when they brought 7. That was when they brought 4 and Moore, Dockery AND Samuels all decided to block Sapp.

I think too many excuses are made for HIS and others play along the o-line.

It was good to see Chamberlin fitting in with his false start. I'm glad the team is indoctrinating new folks so well. jeeez!

So funny, yet so true and sad.

I think Samuels is immensely talented yet he continues to commit mind-boggling penalties at important moments. I don't think it is time to give up on him, but it may be time to bring someone in who will get his tail in gear.

Samuels got burned. He's asleep out there. Pathetic.

It's not that they brought 7 and we had 6 blocking. Samuels came in to triple team Warren Sapp on that play. A little red light should go off inside a lineman's head when he's the third guy on a single rusher. It means somewhere else, the quarterback is probably getting hit.

I think it all boils down to a Spurrier offense that simply can not adjust. Look at the system before blaming those in it.

It's not Spurrier's offense. I don't see that from what I watch. The offense is there. It can work. The problem is that Spurrier is insistent on regularly sending out every legal reciever on a route. That's not the system, that's Spurrier determined to not resort to keeping people back for more protection.

People here are missing the point. The offense was designed to put Robert Royal alone on Simeon Rice. This is something I learned. That was a designed play. They did it about ten times during the game and it led to four sacks. That's on Spurrier and Helton, not Samuels.

Agreed. It was going on all day. Sometimes we think we know what is going on, but only those within the system really know the truth. Some of the things that I'm seeing are really sinking in to me as things that are a result of the coaching, and not the players themselves.

Again, I repeat, it is the system
